I have a Toshiba 42" 42HDX82 RPT. I have noticed for some time now a small black dot on our screen, about the size of a BB. When I shine a flashlight on the spot, it looks like there is a hole burned on the screen or something. What can cause this? is there a relatively inexpensive way to fix...

You may want to check it out with someone who knows the Toshiba really well ... if your Toshiba is like mine ... it has an internal decoder thing that converts your DVD image to what Toshiba calls "540p" which is actually 1/2 of 1080i. Thus, you won't get the benefit of true progressive 480p...
