I have an HK 525 driving my B&W speakers and to me it is a lot better than my previous Denon receiver. I really noticed the big difference when it comes to power. Both my previous Denon and HK 525 I have now are suppose to be 70wpc but my B&W sounded better with my HK 525. It might be that HK...
I can recommend HK 525. I'm using my 525 to power my B&W CM series speakers and I have no problem with it. With all the features I think you will be happy with 525.
I'm sure you will love you HK 525. You made the right decision. Read the manual carefully to setup the receiver correctly that way you can take advantage of all its features. By the way what speakers do you have right now?
you can't go wrong with HK 525. I am driving my what they call "Power Hungry" B&W speakers (CM Series) with an HK 525 and I think my HK have no problem with it.
i auditioned both kef Q series and b&w 600 series speakers. KEF was a little bit on the brighter side and b&w is a little bit laid back. one more thing, kefs q series are made in china(but its a british co.) while b&w's are made in england.
HK 525 sounds great with B&W speakers. Go with either the 600 series 3's or the CM's. They say the B&W's are a little bit laid back speakers but with HK they sound great (with music and movies).
Is there an easy way to move my 55inch mits to the second floor of my house? The stairway is straight up with no landing. Can I tilt the RPTV? Is there any equipment that can be rented that you can recommend to be used is moving this tv upstaits?
A friend of mine gave me his AR S115PS Subwoofer that got hit by lightning. When I tried to hook it up to my receiver and powered up, the green light came on meaning it has power but I can't hear no sound. This actually happened to him too.Is it possible for me to change the subwoofer amplifier...
I think what happens is this, when the surrounds and the center should output a frequency lower than the 120hz the receiver will automatically redirect that frequency to the subwoofer(since the center and surrounds can only handle no lower than 120hz). The frequency below 120hz that should be...
will there be a problem when I will route all of my cablings (audio/video, power cords) all together using the wire management at the back of av racks? will it cause interference to a/v cables? dodie
Onecall again is selling the HK525 way below the MSRP. Does anybody here got this kind of receiver? And is there any problem with this receiver like the HK8000 that onecall were selling couple of day ago? Any feedbacks
You didn't go wrong with your decision of keeping the Denon. With all the problems/bugs of the HK8000 that were brought out in this forum, I guess you made a good decision in keeping your 3803. It is really a big help having this kind of a forum where we can get feedbacks about products before...
------------------------------------------------------------ I am a little frusturated about this whole thing but it sure is a good deal even with the humming. I was just ready to sit down and tinker and test for about 8 hours! ------------------------------------------------------------...
Which one is better to drive a set of power demanding speakers, a 75WPC HK525 or a 110WPC Denon? Obviously denon got a higher wattage but I dont know if the HK can go above the 75wpc. dodie
These are brand new CM Series speakers by B&W. Two CM4(Floorstanding), two CM2(bookshelf) and one CMC(center). Boxes are opened just to check on the items when I got them. Make an offer. Buyer Pay for actual shipping.
Is a dipolar type of speakers be used as a rear surround? what I mean with rear is that the placement of the speakers are behind the listener not beside. I know rear (behind) is suppose to be direct radiating but is it possible to use dipoles?
Can I use RG6 Cables as component cables? If that is possible are there connectors available in the market so that i can use this (RG6) as component cables?
Is there any big difference between paper cones and metal or aluminum cones? What could be some advantages and disadvantages on both types of cones? Do they reproduce sound differently? And which one is more preferable paper or metal/aluminum?
I just auditioned B&W 604 S3 together with the LCR center and I don't like how they sounded on movies. The 604's a OK when I tried them for music (2 channel) but as soon as I tried listening to movies (5 channel) I dont like how it sounded. The voices coming out from the center to me sounded bad...
I just auditioned a B&W DM604 S3 (Made in Europe) and KEF Q7,Q5 (Made in China). Does it make any difference for a speaker to be made in Europe as againts a speaker made in China? I like how the KEF's sounded on both music and movies. With the B&W, It was OK with music (soundstaging) but when I...
