I have the Yamaha rx-v620 and it has really good sound. It has been replaced by the rx-v630. It runs around $499, but can be found on eBay for around $250 used.

At $29.95, you can not say that is a fortune.
Audio cables pick up electrical interference and cause the "hum". You need a shielded cable, but rg6 video cable works fine. You can buy rca to 75ohm adapters almost anywhere. Same cable as you use for sat or cable connections.
I have the Yamaha RX-V620, which is the previous model to the 630 in your list. The 620 has 100 watts output and the newer 630 has 75 watts. I am suprised that Yamaha has dowgraded there output on these newer models, but I checked my Yamaha catalog and your list is correct.

Return policies are up the the individual seller. But it should be noted that no seller will pay return shipping, which is usually high on speakers. I buy a lot off of eBay and like the previous poster, only buy from sellers that have good ratings.
I appreciate all the input from everyone. It seems like the JBL NSP1 are really popular for economical speakers. I found them on the net for around $209 or on eBay around $200. That is not bad for five speakers. The N-Center speaker is $199 at BB for it alone. But, I still do not like the style...
