Hi, I am hoping you guys could share some of your collective wisdom. I am new to this DIY audio stuff and want to build a sub, I ordered 2 av15s and an rmx1450 with the plan of building an ib. I can't build the ib now, so I want to build a cabinet or two. I started to build a large vented...
It's all fitted, my box is triangular (prism) ~64x24x24x34, is there a problem with the F3? I guess I don't understand the concern as I am new to this stuff.
Yep, I originally was going to build an ib, but due to my current unsettled housing situation I decided to build a cabinet instead. I started with Stryke's EBS size and then thought, what the hell might as well use both subs. WHy do you ask?
I am building a single vented cab for 2 av15s, it will be 250l tuned to 18Hz. I have a QSC rmx1450 for power, should be done by the time my drivers arrive...
I was planning on just using Elmers wood putty, but I noticed on another thread someone mentioned body filler, what do you guys recommend for making my mdf all pretty and smooth?
Nice setup Brett, I too bought a new router, I chose the Bosch, now I am not so sure it was a good choice. I made a lot of dust and cut a lot of holes in single and double layer 3/4" mdf and the thing died. It slowly but surely turned slower and slower and the motor started sounding like an lawn...
Hey Brett, it looks Schweet My IB plans have been put on hold so I am designing a large enclosure for my 2 av15s. My design started out as a single driver ebs cab, but then I decided to use both 15s so I ended up with a 250l box for both. I want to make it triangular and put it in a corner...
Corian is roughly half the price of granite, however the only way they sell it is with installation ala countertop etc. Now, your buddy could probably hook you up :) Unfortunately I cant seem to find anyone who will just sell me the piece or pieces I would need. Thanks for the link Brett good...
Weird losing part of a thread, oh well, I checked with a buddy who works at BBC and that was a hell of a deal, well below cost, I think I will just go with the Klipsch set at Audio King they are a closeout so probably a pretty good deal.
Thread destruction :frowning: lets see Tony suggested drilling and tapping the allthread, which is a great idea, however I have tile floors and am not sure if that's the right way to go. I thought about casters but the ones that will support that much weight are huge and ugly. Any other ideas?
I know, I know, this is HTF but I figured you guys need tunes on your decks too :) I just started shopping around for outdoor speakers and found some Klipsch hs-2 for $200 seems like a pretty good deal, are there any others out there in this price range worth considering? TIA Chris
