    Rope Lights behind Moulding Pix

I'm trying to explain to my wife the concept of putting rope lighting behind crown moulding that is spaced an inch or so below the ceiling. Since most of the HT gallery pages are gone, can someone point me to a page somewhere that would have some good 'long wall' shots of this lighting...

    Should I go with IB

I'm moving into my new house end of September and it has a dedicated HT Room (finally). The room is approx 2100 ft3. Current setup is a Servo-15 with BFD EQ and Paradigm 40v3, CC570 and ADP's powered by Parasound 140WPCx3 and Parasound 125WPCx2. Infinite Baffle Subs intrigue me, and I am...

    BFD & Paradigm X-30

Finally going to take the plunge and purchase a BFD to EQ my Servo-15. Am currently running the Paradigm X-30 pre-amp/crossover between the Receiver LFE Out and Input on the Servo. I believe since the X-30 is controlling the crossover frequency, gain and phase of the sub (basically it is...

    Studio 20 vs ADP

I have been replacing my aging Klipsch setup with Paradigm Studio v3 speakers. Currently in place are Servo-15, Studio 40, Studio CC570 with the old Klipsch SS1 Dipole surrounds. My question is, in your opinion with 75% Movie/TV and 25% Music including DVD-Audio - would you suggest the...

    240v-120v Transformer Recommendation Wanted

Dale, not sure why you would want to go the transformer route on this. If your Main Panel has enough space and capacity for the 1 x 30 x 240, then why not run 2 x 20 x 120 circuits and forget about transformer noise and heat generation? Have the wires for the 30A 240V already been pulled?

    Sub Amp Hum [long]

Just received my Servo-15 a couple of days ago. On plugging it in (it has a 2 wire AC cord) with no other inputs I heard a 'hum' coming from the Amp module which I could hear from 3 - 4 feet away. I moved the Sub (90 pounds worth...) around the house to 3 separate circuits and the hum was...

Tested Paradigm Servo-15 today - Long

Well, have been trying to make a decision on an SVS sub or a Paradigm Servo-15 to replace a KSW12. Living in Canada with the value of CDN to US$ of .64, we pretty much need to double to US price to get an SVS landed here. That means for a 20-39PC+ it would be on the order of 1650CDN. Have...

    'Digital' Cable Box Question

I am using Shaw 'Digital' in Western Canada and have hooked up both analog (L/R RCA) and digital coax connections from my Cable Box to my receiver. It is an Onkyo 696 which auto senses the input signal. I have the Cable input set to Digital Coax/Auto. Unfortunately it seems that Shaw is...

For a few reasons I use both IE6.x and NS4.79. I cannot seem to get the Thread Preview option to work with the NS Browser. Is this a problem (js perhaps) with the older NS version??

    Canadian SVS Owners (merged thread)

I am thinking about ordering a 20-39PC+ Sub based on owner comments and many reviews I have read about SVS. With shipping, I see it will be 904USD. What has Canada Customs and Revenue been charging (if anything) besides GST. Since the subs have Canadian made amps, and a US made driver, is...
