Below are some of my remarks regarding the sub. I guess I'm not equipped with the electronic tools to tell how accurate they are in a comparison. I use "the Force " to tell me what sounds best. As I've said many times before, what I hear from a speaker isn't necessarily what you will hear. Both...
I have a few words to describe the new SVS PB1-ISD boxed sub...BANG, POW, BOOM and WOW! After calling SVS and talking to Eric, we set mine up together and I'm thrilled. It rocks da howse! The PB1 is adding support to my 16-46 PCi. After I turned off my PCi, I realized I could probably stand...
As far as the chedrins go, I've given mine something to think about if they do go against my directive of "No!" (barring all PC), in an extremely harsher voice. With anything now, they know if I say it once, the next thing is going to be rather unpleasant. This was done through conditioning at a...
About children, the Devil's Advocate says... Hmmm! New idea! Why don't you tell the child "NO"! "No touchy!" Worked for my kids. Have several friends who don't tell there kids that, and they have problems with them. Like: Kids getting into/onto things they shouldn't. They say "no, or I'll...

Don't worry about adjusting it yourself. I have the 45 and I still had to fine tune it after the MAAC did it. But, my neighbor swears by the MAAC. So I've determined everyone has different opinions on the matter. Good Luck, John!
I got the MaximusThumpditis instead of upgraditis. Hope I'm not too far behind on my PS1 being shipped, as I ordered last week to support my 16-46 PCi in a rather small room. I'm one of those people who thinks too much bass, quite possibly, isn't enough. One can always turn it down.
I too heard the S6's, along with the LCR, S1 and S2. The S1 alone sounded fabulous to me. The S6 blew me away. I've alaways said: the sound of speakers may be interpreted differently by different people. But, these made such an iimpact on me, that I am selling my PSB setup to buy the...
JohnV I stumbled on to my 45TX "Elite" for $710 (NIB)+ s&h on eBay because of a major screw up by the seller and felt very lucky. Gees, I stole this thing. My neighbor who works at a highend shop said that was under cost. Went to Sammans web site and could find the 45TX. If they are...
Bill Polley says: By the way, spend the cash ($120 from Zzounds) and get a BFD. Using it correctly on the SVS will make your sub sonically invisible. No boominess or muddiness, just what you are supposed to hear. Well...Bill Polley, what is the BFD you mention in the post above mine.
Yep! I realized that right after I submitted the post, when I looked up FutureShop.ca (as in Canada) not dotcom. I confirmed it when I went back to the top of the post. My bad! I'm annoucing my candidacy for the Dooey Dipsh*t award today. I think I've won it hands down. Thanks for everyone's...
Wow! $800? How did we get so far above the $500 price point you were aiming for? I thought the Hsu VTF-2 was $449 + shipping which can't be more than $50 or so. Depending on which SV sub, one can still stay around $500. Rob: If you want...listen to what evewrybody has to say, then go listen...
SVS box or cylinder series. I have the 16-46 PCi powered @ $600+. SVS has stuff in the $500 which sounds great too. Actually, my neighbor hooked me on SVS based on his unpowered (powered by seperate amp)25-31 @$379. If someone in your area has any SVS, I highly recommend you listen to it...
WOW! I'm really excited! Can't wait for my new PB1-ISD. I'm gonna "Rock da howse....buoy"! I was originally looking at Hsu (as many fellow HTFr's helped me with) and Velodyne products because I wasn't aware SVS was going to introduce a box sub. I am thankful I found out before I bought...
Alright everyone...thanks for the advice, it has really helped. What I've done is squeezed together my front package and stuffed the SVS to the left in the angled corner. It filled the hole in my chair, but created one in the passenger seat. Plus, it filled the rest of the room, including the...
Problem with that is the area rug under the coffee table costs more than my new truck, and it would be ruined if I poked a hole in it and there is no way she'd (boss) would let me screw up the asthetics of the room with a wire (covered) running over it. I've already pushed that area far enough...
Thanks Curtis... Looked at the Klipsch RF-3 system with the RSW-15 to begin with and loved the sub, although it had a small hole in the demo room right where I was sitting (room was empty). Hear the RSW12 is just as good. I do like the volume control accessabilty, but your right...too much...
Thanks Steven and Bob. I did forget to put a table to the left of the right chair on the diagram between the chair and the wall at the proverbial rear of the room. Bob: I have no way to wall mount anything on the already built, lower level (of 2 level home), with windows and studs filling the...

No room to move sub next to towers (too tight). Chair cannot be moved against wall w/o blocking room entrance (i.e. Wife won't allow it) and (yes my cajones are attached).:D . Other than that...am I going in the right direction with the additional sub? Just called 2 dealers here...1 said...
