A friend of mine ordered the Elts from ACI. He got free shipping AND they have a better warranty. He really loves the system. I've heard it, and it is really pretty amazing. Of course they have the 30 day money back warranty, but I don't think you'll need it;)

A system with five ACI Emeralds is really sweet. A former friend (that's another story) has that setup and it is really a blast to listen to. does a great job with music and HT.

I'll second the Emerald On wall recommendation. I've heard them, and they are really amazing. They also come in a variety of real woods, and look great!

Just to be argumentative, I'd probably never buy another pair of speakers from a B&M outlet. When you get the speakers home, they rarely sound anything like they did in the store. You have to pay them for their part of the deal, and from my experience, a lot of B&Ms make returns into a bigger...

Anything with plastic cabinets. Anything that is more marketing than sound. Anything I can't try at home. Anything sold-pushed by salespeople I don't like.

I enjoyed the movie in a theater. Thought the sound was only so so. Of course all the sound in that theater is so so at best. Looking forward to hearing it for real :)

I've always thought the Aerial was the sub I'd want if I had a really big room and money was no object, this might be very terrific competition at about 1/2 the cost. BTW, that sure ain't an amp on a chip, looks more like the guts of a Krell or something similar :D

The other thing you might want to do is check with the manufacturer. What is the warranty period? If it was three years and you're just past it, they may be willing to help you out. It might be worth it to them just to do something "extra" and have a happy customer instead of an irate customer...

What a bummer! If you calibrated your system, 0 db would be reference level which is pretty darn loud, at least to me. It sounds like it may be blown driver. If the driver is shorted it could be causing the amp to keep blowing fuses. Might save you money to do some troubleshooting yourself...

I was checking into this a month or so ago. The consensus seems to be that the rears (I'm planning on 7.1) should be at the same height as the other surrounds.
