We have a boxer/rott. combo. He is a good dog for security. However, if you play around with him too long he gets mean and dangerous. We have a command word to calm him we use when this happens.
My Favorite DVD-A is the Gluey Brothers Stiff for the Elders. It kinda reminds me of what the Tubes might sound like if they blended with the beastie boys,Steely Dan,and maybe ,I dunno, Beck? Totally different and sonically my best disc. Even better Night at the Opera I think.
I have been a member off and on since 1970.Then you could get 7 records for a dollar. But you had to buy 3 more at regular blah blah blah over the next million years. One problem that i found was that the quality of some of the cds was not as good. Not a member again until they release dr. hook -...
Got Fragile for xmas and have trouble getting it to play in any mode other than 6 channel. When I pull up the menu it does not list the modes.I use the top menu button but still no luck. I have a Tosh. 4800.any suggestions? Also my ELP BSS has the same problem.
I love the smell of a new piece of equipment fresh out of the box.It smells like--Victory.Just got some new stuff and was wondering if anyone else gets a little tingle from the odor? The first few hours they re on and cooking, oooh I like that too.
Watch for the special that is aired around Schultz s B-Day on ABC,I think. Most of the old actors are on it.A good retrospective on the Christmas show is also shown around this time of year.
Unless they are dirty and smudged I wouldn t touch them with anything.I used different cleaners and such, but in the end,as long as you do not touch the grooves I reccommend leaving them be.I have records I bought back in 69 that sound as good as new and have never been cleaned.
I have the Tosh 4800 and I have to set the sub on full range and turn it up all the way to get the full effect of the sub.But it sounds great .That is with the 6 ch. mix. DTS is the same as watching DTS movies.
You re gonna hear anything about all speakers at one time or another.Back in 78 I heard a pair of Klipsch Lascallas for the first time. After that all I wanted was a pair.Since then I have listened to a lot of brands, but my favorites have been those.Still don t have a pair, but I did buy...
Craig Shoemaker,Killer Beaz, Carrott Top,and Jerry Seinfeld were my favorites this past year.Oh, and Tommy Chong. His wife was his opening act.Later, they teamed up for an updated version of Pedro and the man.
My Yammy gives a clearer sound when listening to HT than cds.And with DTS its the best i have heard yet.I use Klipsch speakers too which help the HT sound. My Yammy is about a year old, paid 350.00 at Sound Advice in Jax. Fla.It also has 6 ch. output for DVD-A that sounds unreal.85 wattsx5 or 110...
I think I have a similar Klipsch bookshelf for my system. If you have a Home Depot or Lowes, they might have what I bought to mount mine.Cannot remember the name but they have a bracket that slides under and clamps the speaker to the mount. they have worked nicely for me. they do need mounting to...
I bought a Yamaha vx 520 receiver about a year ago for 350.00 and it was well worth it.It powers a Klipsch hogepodge of speakers,6 in all.The theatre sound fields are decent for the price. All together including DVD and Hitachi 57 ubx widescreen my set-up costs less than 3000.00 and performs at...

You folks make me feel a lot better about it. We have quite a few friends that will not rent a movie unless it is dubbed. No subtitles for them.Pity what they are missing.
The Gluey Bros. are a band from the southwest,or maybe Cali. The reason I bought the disc was the price.Only 13.00 and some change.Never heard of them before. After finding it for sale on amazon I did some research on other websites, liked what I read and am very pleased with the purchase.The...
Here is something my wife and I found interesting. After renting Amalie the other night,we thought it was good enough to recommend to a few friends. The next day at work they complained that they had to read the subtitles. Now,how many people out there in HTFland have heard someone complain about that?
Thanx Robert on showing me the light on my six channel mode. Now I see why DVD audio is so much better than the rest. I just got the new Gluey Bros. stiff for the elders and the surround is awsome! All I am buying from now on is this format.Thanx again!
Just watched my Avia DVD and they recommended placing my speakers next to the TV.However,Hitachi Says to place them at least 4 ft. away.If they are shielded, would it matter if I put them closer?By the way, this site is outstanding!
Usually if a song is classified as heavy metal on Monday,by Wednesday it s classic rock,by Friday it s bubblegum and by Sunday it ends up a hymn at church.
