Congrats Michael- check out Bellevue and surrounds, that's where I would live should I move up there (to work in Redmond) Kirkland may be out of your price range but it's a stunner of an area. Redmond was ok too and Issaquah(sp) was very pleasant. Seattle downtown itself is very close too, 10...
Yeah it all seemed pretty alright- housing didn't look cheap to me, but if you've ever looked at prices in Southern California, you'd know that it's a nice breath of fresh air. BTW, put up a bunch more Seattle trip photos in a little photo blog if anyone wants to take a peek...
Indeed, I did not experience any heavy amount of traffic congestion the whole time, and we drove across the 520 a few times (our hotel on the first day was in bellevue) Granted, on the weekends I expect it will be more reasonable. That's how it is in LA anyway. Weather was excellent, was...
I know, it's funny really, I've heard that now from a couple people. Well, I see it like this, the freeways there are TWO lanes(people drive slow there too), which is somewhat amazing for a metroplitan area. I have read from others that traffic can get bad, but I experienced ZERO traffic the...
Thanks for all of your help folks, just got back from Seattle and had a blast. Was highly impressed with the area and got to do a bunch of things recommended here and more. Seattle was kinda small really, which actually made things much easier. Thanks again! more photos here...
Thanks for the excellent suggestions folks, thanks a bunch! I'll be there a few days, and I'll probably avoid stuff I can do down here (there's a Todai down here for example, and movies/theatres.... what better place than LA!) Right now here's my list from what I found interesting from...
Mark, new pics of Vader- any thoughts?:
I think this makes for an excellent contrast with the original 'prototype' pic(this last pic posted here), posted way back on page 1 of this thread!
Congrats on that Fett, Brent!
The SS exclusive Obi-Wan is up now, if anyone is planning on getting- grab it now!
Some pics of the SS Luke figure that a forum member just got also:

Louie: hehehe I hear ya. The Luke was up for a while for attendees(I'll be going) but I didn't end up pulling the trigger.
In other news... some cool pics of the new Koto statue someone on my board posted:
Thanks for the kind words Louie, and welcome back!(Where'd ya go?)
Anyone here pick up a SDCC exclusive luke from Sideshow?... probably not... I was on the fence, but ended up not getting it
That would be weak reasoning imo, if that is indeed the reason from Lucas and crew(I still it just boils down to Lucas saying "let's jazz up that shot!". Was gonna type out something longer but Phil pretty much summed up most of my thoughts- plenty of other times to establish that "hey! this is...
I guess I'm the only one that really hates that droid(what kind of droid, I don't know, but it's pointless either way) that comes floating by while Anakin and Obi-wan are in the thick of battle. You just had to throw a droid in there didn't ya George? You couldn't just keep the fight personal...
I don't agree with that- there were Aliens all over the movies. It seems he left them out of the Empire for a reason. He had no money for aliens in the empire when they are crawling all over the rest of the films? Jabba's palace, ewoks, taun tauns, admiral ackbar, lando's sidekick, the assorted...
Ahh yeah figures that joint would be in New York! But that fatburger thing is just messed up, I mean who rips up your receipt? That's just... I don't know if it's 'illegal' but that's just some kind of wrong. Should've called the cops or something...
Thanks Brent yeah checked it out- doesn't look real hot. Little is known about how SS will approach these(will vader's helm be removeable?) but they will be quality I'm sure.
'I guess this would be the ideal situation for a ROTJ Vader reveal to replace the previously released one that never impressed me. I think SS would do a much better job with it.'
which previous vader? are you talking about the 1/4 figure?
yeah these will not be cheap, I'm sure, they are really...
Actually, one of the big misconceptions is that Weta is doing the effects- the workshop did some concept design and worked on the armoury/weapons, that's it. Weta DIGITAL is not working on Narnia, the bulk of that is being done by K.N.B. and Rhythm and Hues.
I put up a ton of pics I took of the Narnia display at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles which included actual film props, prosthetics and maquettes if anyone is interested: http://charles-song.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=816
