I'm a former addict. At my peak, I had somewhere around 5000 albums (including LPs, cassettes, singles, etc)... about 2500 of them were CDs. Early this year, I sold off about 70-80% of my collection. I am very happy with my decision to do this. (I went through a similar thing with DVDs, too)...
Movies where all the action takes place within a 24 hour period. I'll say that flashbacks are okay, IF they are very brief and very few. Concert films don't qualify. I may make other rules as we go along.
Everyone gets 3 noms and 3 seconds (obviously, you cannot second your own nomination)...

I've been on the fence about buying TZ for over a year now, this makes it much more plausible. I will probably pick up sets 1 & 2 with Best Buy gift cards this Xmas :)
I almost fell asleep during this movie. One of the most tedious and boring films I've seen in a long time, not to mention horribly cliched ("I've seen things you can't even imagine"... "It's not your fault, you can't blame yourself") and nonsensical. I got the feeling that the writer thought...
Oh, forgot to mention the outtakes... out of 40 minutes worth of outtakes, there's about 3-4 minutes of stuff that doesn't look exactly like something already in the film. Those 3-4 minutes are cool, but the rest is dull dull dull. I'd say rent the Criterion, and if you really love it, then...
The Carnival of Souls that comes with Total Movie's "40 Free Movies" deal is not that bad. It's inferior to the Criterion, of course, but it's watchable. And frankly, I think the supplements on the Criterion are rather dull. Huge gaps in the commentary track, and the best parts of it are...

2001: A Space Odyssey - one of my all-time favorites, but I definitely see how one could dismiss it as boring and/or pointless. Gladiator - nothing terribly wrong with it, but nothing terribly awe-inspiring either. Armageddon - only seen brief parts of it, but that was enough. I'm...
My favorite is Drowning by Numbers. I also liked CTWL, Belly of an Architect, and A Zed and Two Noughts. I started watching Prospero's Books, but I thought it was pretty boring.
That's all I've seen by him, I think.
