Thanks for the links, They have a power buy going on right now... have you seen this? Two rows of 3 seats for $1575 + 455 shipping.... basically about 2 grand... that saves me $1200 bucks over the Nemesis from 4seating... but no bass shakers... I can use the $1200 for that.
Do any of you have experience with http://www.4seating.com? I'm looking to get a single row of 4 like this: Only mine will be this color scheme: These are the "Nemesis" seats... black leather with stone/taupe suede-micro fiber. $3299 + $250 shipping... not bad eh? I think...
The HT store I'm dealing with charges $140 an hour, and they're about 1 1/2 hours away too :frowning: I misquoted their fees... its actually $2240 for their install which includes ALL wires and cables, running all the lines before sheetrock goes up, once the room is finished they hook...
So, does anybody have the SWAN speakers? When I was at Hi-Fi Buys yesterday, we listened to some Polk Audio speakers and some Saphire Audio's... these speakers sucked compared to the B&W Nautilus speakers we just listened to 20 minutes before at the HT store. I'd like to know how...
Hi guys, I'm just about to the point where I need to decide which company I'm going to use to do my install, framing is up in the basement, and now I need the HT guys to run all the wiring before the sheet rock goes up. I'm looking at 3 speaker options from 3 different sources, all about...
I dont have the breakdown for the 2nd store yet... but they said they could keep me within my $10K budget. Here's a Pic of the Nemesis seating... 1 row of 4, $3299. I'm not looking for superior audiophonics... I just want to play StarWars and have it rock...
Hi Y'all, I've been a member for a while now... our house plans got put on hold for a spell when I had a stroke 2 years ago... I'm better now, complete recovery. A lot has changed since I started asking questions 2 years ago... We're building a 7000 sq ft. home right now... I know that...
Thanks for the replies guys... I'm a dentist and make a decent living, but dont want to "squander" cash needlessly though... I've limited myself to $10,000 for a front projector... I want the best front projector for this price area. I'm gonna go with a "100-"110 Stuart Screen and HDTV...
Quick question... on http://www.realiableaudiovideo.com they sell Stuart Screens.. they say the GrayHawk is for DLP projectors like the above mentioned Sharp... they also recommend some of their other screens for CRT projectors. What kind of projector is the FireHawk Screen recommended for...
Hmmm... My uncle bought a SharpVision XVZ9000 about 18 months ago... it listed for $12K, he got it for $10K... now I see it sells for $6500 :) Want a price break? Buy last year's model :) M.
Well its been a while since I posted... we finally made the move up here to Blue Ridge, Georgia :) We also just closed on some land upon which to build a house :) So, once we get the land paid off shortly, we're gonna start building... Good News, one of my patients is an A/V installer for...
Whenever I buy an expensive piece of AV equipment, I ALWAYS leave it running for 2 weeks straight... that doesnt mean you have to jam on the volume or anything, just let it do its thing for 2 weeks 24hr/day and you'll find out soon enough if it has faulty wiring. M.
Rick, You've spent the cash and now have a primo HT... the finest in movie viewing experience... There is NO substitute for REAL butter on popcorn... my suggestion is use a microwave to nuke some butter and drizzle it over the popcorn :) M.
Thanks Neil, sorry for getting off track... I think you recommended the FireHawk screen too a while back? I was looking at projectors the other day... when the Sharp XVU9000 came out it listed for $12,999. My Uncle bought one last year for $9999. The best price on-line I found until...
Thanks for the replies folks... Not to turn this into church chat, but let me enlighten y'all a bit... True, consuming Alcohol is a sin... whether you're saved or not... doesnt matter if your a Christian, Atheist, Hindu or whatever... Anyone can become an alcoholic. As for wine in...
I plan to literally buy about $15,000 worth of AV equipment and $12,000 in custom HT seating from on-line sources... Before I make such purchases, I plan to check out the local high end AV stores for the hardware to scope it out and listen to it first hand. For the custom HT seating, I plan to...
Besides, up in the mountains... there isnt much to do except drink, have sex, or watch TV. My wife and I dont drink as Christians and a 50K HT will definitely be cheaper than kids! LOL, M.
Thanks for the replies, I like the DLP's because of price and because generally speaking they're smaller and look more high tech than the big old RBG bulbs... I'll probably go with a DLP... As for the $$$ issue, I'm looking to spend about $10,000 grand for a projector, about $15,000 for...
I'd really like a THX speaker system and for the quality vx. $$$ issue, I'm probably going to go with the M&K THX750 package for $1999 from http://www.superaudiovideo.com
This is the sub that comes in the package, which lists for $950 as a separate purchase:
The M&K sub is 125 watts...
I was planning on buying a Sharp 9000 DLP projector... some said to wait a little while because the new InFocus projector has some sort of special "Fuji" chip that the Sharp doesnt have? I'm looking to spend about $10,000 for a decent projector... I was talking with a friend the other day...
Here's a dumb question... eventually I'm going to go with a front projector... obviously, those images wont be burned into fabric screen. BUT, what about the projector itself? I have no idea what the internals of a front projector entail... is it possible for an image to be burned in...
I thought about the same thing as I'm planning my preliminary construction in my head right now... I thought of running some 1" PVC pipe in the rafters first to be used as a conduit... The other thought I had was to run the wiring behind the crown molding or behind the base boards? M.
When I began my reserach on the components I would like to purchase, I surfed the net for about a week at work... these two sites had the best prices for the entire internet:

See if their prices are any better for you?

Here's a thought... I wouldnt necessarily do this with my Front Projector ($400 bulbs last about 2000hours)and waste 336 hours... But I've always heard that when buying Electronic Equipment like a TV, Stereo, computer or such to turn it on and leave it on/running literally for 2 weeks... if...
