Received my copy yesterday. Look forward to viewing this on my Epson 3020, 106" screen setup. I'm sure it won't disappoint. I'll be popping the popcorn tomorrow afternoon!
I can see it now - nestled tenderly in my basement theater with my Epson 3020 projector, 106" screen, Fios box, all region 3D bluray player, Roku, and old Sony laserdisc player. I'd be the envy of the neighborhood!
Saw this on tv in anaglyph back in the 80s along with Revenge of the Creature and the 3 Stooges' Spooks. Massive frustration adjusting the color on our tv to optimize the 3d effect...it didn't work. Still cool though. I made my parents drive me all over kingdom come to find a set of glasses. I...
A couple years ago, I finished my decrepit basement and added a bar, Epson 3020 3d projector, and a 106" screen. It has since become a weekend evening refuge for my wife, beagle, and me. I have an Onkyo 7.1 system and love it but would love to take the next step and upgrade. This Dolby Atmos...
Would love an HD release with original mono, alternate summer/CBS Saturday morning tracks, and multichannel remixes of the original soundtrack (where multitracks exist, of course). I know that's potentially 4 audio tracks before adding any commentary or alt language tracks but what the heck...
Bob - I want to echo the sentiments of everyone else here. Kudos to you for preserving golden age 3D. No matter what the title, if it's golden age, and especially if you're involved, it's a blind buy for me. Keep it up!
Can someone check the Bah Humbug episode for me. The Perry Como song featured in the episode seems to me to be the same song but not Perry Como but a different artist. Am I wrong?
Re watched Out To Lunch and was stricken by how loud Jive Talkin was in the mix. It's quite clear at some times over the replacement music. Sounds like dueling jukeboxes or some weird mashup.
I was under the impression that the Perry Como vocal had been replaced in Bah Humbug. To my ears, sounds like the same song, different vocalist. Ca anyone confirm?
Checked the episodes. Mike Fright has Sly and the Family Stone. The Sports and Chuck Berry are missing and dialog has been edited to reflect their omission. Chances Are by Johnny Mathis is there in Les' Groupie and I Am Woman is there in A Family Affair. The Eagles are not in The Doctor's...
Got my set this morning and watching now. As Brian already said, picture is pretty darned good for a 70s show shot on videotape. I'm watching using an Epson 3020 projector on a 106" screen and it looks pretty great. As I offered before, if anyone wants me to check out a particular episode or...
This is great news. Look forward to more info., but it sounds like Shout did a great job. One question, there is a scene in Out to Lunch with Frank Bonner and Craig T Nelson where Paul McCartney's Every Night and the Beatles Here Comes the Sun plays in the background. Curious to know how that...
My tracking still says shipping label created on 10/2 and no other activity. Dammit. Hoping it just is slow to update. My Vincent Price Collection 2 set took only 2 days from label creation last week so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Brian Ward tweeted a photo of the WKRP set that was waiting for him in his office. Looks like they're on schedule and should be shipping soon. Hope to get mine sometime next week. Stay tuned!
Mine was supposed to be delivered today. Was 'out for delivery' since 9:13 AM, then the USPS site said they tried to deliver at 6:14 PM but there was no secure location. Site also said a notice was left. Neither statement is true as I was home at 6:14 with my mailbox clearly visible to me and...
Another pending charge from Shout. How often are they going check for funds? I get once a month but it's only been a few days since the last pending charge was removed! Ugh! Glad i didn't use a debit card.
I'm still keeping my preorder with Shout since they're saying it will arrive on or before October 9th. I'll certainly let everyone here know when I get it so you can fire away with questions relative to specific episodes/music. Unlike Johnny Fever, I do indeed do requests.
FYI - re: Hoodlum Rock. Brian Ward responded to my Twitter inquiry regarding the length of the episode and said the following: "I'll have to go back and check, but we did timing comparisons on each episode. We avoided syndie cuts."
Screw Pink Floyd...greedy twats! Seriously though, I am curious to see how the handle the missing "Here Comes The Sun" from the "Out to Lunch" episode. Hope they can find a way to keep the scene intact as it is pretty crucial to the plot (and it appears that Every Night by Paul McCartney may be...
