    New AV Receiver Choices?

Hi all, I currently have the Marantz SR7000 and am looking to move to a receiver with componenet switching and better bass management. Can someone give me some suggestions of receivers that will have the newer conveniences but will also match or better the sound quality of the SR7000 for under...

    Toshiba 32HF72 Compression Issue

I went ahead and bought a progressive scan player(Tosh SD3800...WOW. The clarity is incredible. This also fixed the issue with the uneven lines. But I now seem to notice more geometry issues. Was just watching the new One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and it seemed every edge of every wall or...

    Toshiba 32HF72 Compression Issue

John, I have mine hooked up to an interlaced player(don't have a progressive player yet). The one I checked in the store was hooked up to a progressive player. I am wondering if this could be the issue. John could you try it with a progressive player and let me know the results?

    Toshiba 32HF72 Compression Issue

I have adjusted my television using Video Essentials. The problem appears to be the raster is squeezed to a different location on the right hand side of the TV. Hi all, Well I decided to get the Toshiba 32HF72 and am having an issue maybe someone can enlighten me on. When going into compressed mode everything looks to be pushed up as to cause a notch in the letterbox for the first three inches on the right of the screen. Everything else looks pretty...

    32" HDTV Options

Well it looks like I've narrowed it down to the Toshiba 32HF72 or the Samsung TXM3296. It's been hard to compare these sets as most stores have them hooked up using RF connections with a poor signal. I did not notice any severe geometry issues with either of these sets. I will be hooking up DVD...

    32" HDTV Options

How much difference would having the 3D Y/C filter have? The Samsung only has a std 3 line comb filter. The Toshiba is a little pricier but I can get 18 months free financing on the Toshiba. Is the Toshiba worth the extra money?

    Hitachi vs. Samsung

Hi All, I am trying to decide between the Hitachi 32UDX10S and the Samsung TXM3296HF. Which one would you buy? I will be using it with 60% Directv and 40% DVD. I like the Hitachi but it only has two rear inputs and only one component. What are peoples experience with these sets?
