I've owned the Criterion DVD, the restored Blu, and the 4k is by far the best I've ever seen Spartacus.
I haven't had the pleasure of seeing this on film, as of yet.
Never in a million years, will I have a serious digital collection. Between the companies shutting down over and over, between weird rights issues, between iTunes making random movies not available in 4k, when that's the way it was purchased...I'm fine.
if it's worth having in 4k, its worth...
Now one thing I always thought was glaring, was on the Ultimate DVD's, Thunderball has a wrong version of a music cue, right when Bond and Domino meet underwater, which was corrected on the Blu-ray.
Question to anyone that can answer...I have an OG 60 gig ps3 that conked out some time ago, yellow light of death. Lucky for me, a friend of mine sold me her ps3 for 100 because she wasn't using it. Is there a way to fix this problem, without trading it in to sony for a refurb slim?
I remember last labor day, they had a screening in 70mm at the Walter Reade theater in NYC for Fox's 75th anniversary. Oh. My. God. An amazing experience.
Go and get them. I've been slowly buying up the video collections since 2001. I just recently purchased the Dangerous short films DVD (which has a surprisingly good 5.1 mix...) completing the collection. Before I got it, I didn't know David Fincher did an MJ video, which was never shown in the...
You know...i've noticed this too on my BD of Kill Bill, when Elle Driver walks into the hospital...the room appears to be greenish, then corrects it to be a white color...its odd.
Eh...it was a good run. I feel sorry most of all for those who have families and depend on Circuit City to make ends meet. *cue souless bargain hunters in 5,4,3...*
I saw this in a test screening sometime last year. The movie was a mess. The two stand outs were Rourke and Gordon-Levitt. Also the director, John Madden, was there in attendance looking mighty worried.
Working. At Circuit City. Have to be there at 4 am. Speaking of which, I need to drug myself not to long from now to get a proper rest...btw...those Ambisoms sleep melts taste just like candy!
I guess i'm amused with how personally you guys take DIVX. As long as your wives and mothers and children are still alive, I see it as a really daft mistake rather then an affront to your lives. But the other things with sales staff, store conditions I totally understand. The store on 14th...
Hmm...I think it could be a lot better at my store and at the one at midtown...can't speak too well for the other stores across the country though. But at least rebate forms print out with the receipts now these days. Plus there are registers all around the building, so the massive lines at the...
You guys are cute with the whole DIVX thing. But seriously, I work at Circuit City NYC at the newly opened Lincoln Center store, now taking most of the space of the old Tower records. It really sucks that the Bronx and Brooklyn stores they just opened are closing...people being out of a job that...
From Dr. No to The Man With The Golden Gun, they had access to the original camera negatives. The very first editions of Bond on DVD had the titles unaltered and unsqueezed. It wasnt until the ultimate editions came out that they decided to squeeze the titles to fit most televisions. So there it is.
