Are all the cables hooked up correctly? How is the DVD player hooked up?

I wholeheartedly agree. Hell, even my wife laughed, and she doesn't usually go for movies of this nature.

No worries for me. If/when HD DVD tanks, I'll pick up a Blu-ray player. Heck, I'll probably pick one up when the prices drop to a reasonable level.

A hard drive works on a different principle. I believe that when you delete a file on a hard drive, all that happens is that you delete the index to where the file is. Sort of like tearing out the table of contents in a book. The info is still there, you just don't know where it is.

I'd buy it. I loved watching it when it was on the air.

Is there any improvement in the picture quality of SD DVD's, without the VGA connection? Unfortunately, component is my only option for connection to the TV.

It may not accurately represent the Japanese as a whole, but it may accurately represent some individual soldiers. From that point of view, I wouldn't necessarily call it revisionist, just showing a part of the war that we are not that familiar with.

I picked up an LG LRA536 recorder about 6 months ago. It records DVD+/-R, DVD+/-RW. I'm quite happy with it.

Interestingly, if you go to the Sideshow site and look up the Morgul Lord it says "PREORDER NOW !" with the exclamation mark. Shelob is the only other statue with the (!) after the preorder comment. I wonder if She's close to a sell out too.

Well, the paint work on my Theoden is good, as far as staying between the lines is concerned. It's just that the shiny gold bits, overtop of the dull gold, seem to me, not quite what it should be. To me it's the same as the shiny bits on the High Elven Infantryman bust, the shiny hilights on the...

I know where you're coming from Chazz, I've got all of those on pre-order(except for Theoden(got 1 already)), plus Gandalf the Grey, and White, Legolas statue, and Escape off the Road plaque(back orders). I don't even want to count the stuff I've bought locally in the past few weeks. Oops...

Damn, Craig... your Theoden, looks better than mine, based on the picture. Every other statue or bust I have looks great,except this one. I don't know what the issue was with Theoden. It's a shame, because Theoden's a great sculpt. I'm still waiting to hear from Sideshow about this.

Agreed, Craig. I'd hate to be in their shoes right now. Although, with all the stuff I've bought & pre-ordered, It feels like I've got just as much inventory as Sideshow:D
