*** Official FANTASTIC FOUR Discussion Thread

Well, in the comics Doom has no powers (unless you count his rarely used sorcery which was learned). All of his "power" comes from his suit. A change yes, but not enough to bother me. I do not agree that powers define villians. Some of the best villians like Lex Luthor and the Joker have no...

My favorite shots: FOTR -Wide shot of Gandalf on horseback walking next to Frodo and Sam, right before Gandalf takes off for MT. The scale of the Hobbits to Gandalf and the horse is perfect. TTT -Aragorn on horseback looking at Eowyn right before taking off to combat the Warg-Riders...

Anyone else notice Eowyn grab the sword from the orc during the Pellenor Fields battle? It happened when Merry took the reins. I didn't notice this 'til me second viewing. Nice detail.

Here are the lyrics and translations for Aragorn's coronation song. "Et Earello Endorenna utulien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn Ambar-metta." "Out of the Great Sea to Middle-Earth I am come. In this place will I abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world."

Need TV stand advice for the Sony KV-34XBR910

Has anyone heard of the 910 being easily "tipable" due to the pivot point? I live in San Francisco, so earthquakes are a concern for me. I've heard that the Sony 910 stand locks the TV down. If i bought a conventional stand is there another way to lock the TV down? Maybe to the wall? Any...

Need TV stand advice for the Sony KV-34XBR910

Jack, I thought that as well, but I just took a close look at the thing at the store and it's footprint is only about 1-2 inches less than the full depth. So the footprint is roughly 22-23 inches. I'm extremely excited about the TV though. It's my first in seven years.

Need TV stand advice for the Sony KV-34XBR910

Hi. I'll soon be purchasing the Sony KV-34XBR910 without the Sony TV stand (it's not practical for me). The TV is has a 23" depth footprint and the stand I'm looking at (the Plateau XT-V3) has a top shelf depth of 19.5". The Sony is about 200 lbs. and the Plateau can hold about 300lbs. on the...

    Denon DVD-1600 digital audio question

Hi all. I will soon be purchasing the Sony KV-XBR43910 HDTV and wanted a progressive scan DVD player to go with it. After hearing so many raves about the Denon DVD-1600, I'd thought my DVD player choice had been made. Today however I found out about the lack of coaxial out on the player...

Not to get to far off topic, but I felt the music and images in TTT worked just as well as they did in FOTR. Particular scenes that come to mind: -Ents marching of the war -Theoden's "Now for wrath..." scene -Gandalf's charge -Gandalf the White throwing off his cloak in Meduseld -Theoden...

Actually this is explained somewhat. She wasn't trying to kill her at that point. She was asking her where John Connor was. Remember, the T-X knew he was there from when she tasted his blood.

They were as realistic as I could imagine given the context. For a being that can lift 100 tons, that strength should not be limited to his arms IMO. I especially liked how disoriented he looked while he was in the air during his first couple of leaps. Can you explain what you mean by...

Did anyone else get the feeling that they were reading a 60's comic book when watching the movie? I mean, I'm sure the editing style helped to give it that feeling, but also the dialogue (especially Nolte's diatribe near the end about the military) and the science. I don’t know, that’s the...
