OK, there's always a simple answer. A loose wire on the speaker post was causing the short. That fixed, all is well with the world again. The Pioneer is rocking hard and if the Def Techs need to break in I can't imagine how good they are going to be.

The stats are up on the Pioneer site but I'm wondering if anyone has actually seen these yet or knows when will they be out. I'm about to jump on an 811S or a 41 but I'd hate to have the 43 hit stores before I get it set up.

The specs and pics of the 43 and 45 are now up on the Pioneer website. There seems to be a pretty big gap between them and the 41. It may be worth the difference to wait.
