DVD Review HTF REVIEW: Cinderella - 2 disc Platinum Edition - ENTHUSIASTICALLY RECOMMENDED!!!

From what I remember Disney started rotoscoping for his feature films with Snow White where Marjorie Belcher was rotoscoped for Snow White, and a male model was rotoscoped for the Prince. This is out of Mosley's "Disney's World" biography, which I read a while back so is by no means the...

    DVDprofiler.com down?

Data to the profiler database is contributed by the users, not IVS. $25 bought you the license to the front end program (I would hope, as licensing out the cover images and film data is... problematic for anyone but the copyright owners). If IVS cannot support the basic functionality of their...

    DVDprofiler.com down?

Since the base functionality of the program is still there it wouldn't be an 'awful' thing for anybody but IVS if IVS went down permanently. It would be a major inconvenience, but it is possible to add one's own artwork and film data to the database on one's own computer. The one thing that IVS...

New Warner SEs Coming in May!

Whoohoo. What a pleasant pleasant surprise to see Blazing Saddles and Around the World in 80 Days on the release list in special edition format after being too busy to read dvd news for a while. Any idea if they'll follow "the night at the movies" format with this batch? It would be nice to get...

New "Around the World In Eighty Days" Movie this Christmas

To me the sad thing is that they called the movie "Around the World in 80 Days". It may very well be a fine, entertaining, exciting and unforgettable comedy, but it is _not_ "Around the World in 80 Days." The book's characters exist in their own right, the products of their author's...

    TOC error on DVD

If the above doesn't work, try sticking it into a computer DVD drive and attempting to extract the data. It is a fairly involved process that's been made easier by some freely available tools and manuals. Since discussing the details of the extraction is probably against the forum rules...

Raves Continue! The absolute best animated comedy series: THE FAMILY GUY - A must buy!

Oh, I was wondering about that. Because the Holocaust wasn't really funny. Family Guy is. Maybe because Family Guy wasn't done by Germans. Germans are inherently unfunny. Except for their haircuts. Thank you for clarifying your point though. It was a bit of a puzzler.

HD-DVD forum rejects Toshiba/NEC Blue Laser format

It is pretty hard to see how anybody could be enthusiastic about caddies. At least anybody who actually used them. Caddies suck. Yes, they add protection, but at the same time they add bulk, hassle and cost. Caddied/Cartridge media has either been dying a painful death (VHS, mag tapes) or has...

Does 1st Half of 2003 seem weak with regards to DVD releases?

Actually I've been waiting for the Magic Christian for quite a while. I first saw it on a double bill with The Ruling Class and have been waiting for both of those movies to appear in DVD format. Criterion put out The Ruling Class a while back. Tomorrow the wait will be over.
