The Jamo A410s are neat speakers, mostly meant for smaller rooms and you will be paying alot for the design. If you don't care about the design you can get the A330s for 599.99 which will offer better quality.
I like the Onkyo as well. Not only does it give you Nettune (slightly more advanced than HK's version of networking) but also it can drive a secondary set of speakers as well as 7.1 without adding an amp. Lastly, I've had many an Onkyo amp over the years and have never had any of them fail in...
So far only dish network has been confirmed. Time Warner is supposed to have an announcement at the end of this month. Comcast and DirectTV are "in negotiations"
I just got my comcast box a few months ago and with the new season starting soon i was wondering if six feet under is broadcast in HD. They don't have a listing on their schedule page yet for it.
I believe that you can onle use the component input or the RGB input but not both. I would use the component or RGB for teh HD in out and use an S-video for the DVD player and let the TV handle the progressive scan.
If you can hold out until next christmas you might find some big names down to 5000 like panasonic or hitachi. Right now i think the only HD plamsa at 5000 is the sampo, although the phillips keeps dropping in price as well.
Panasonic has a box coming out that is supposed to do OTA and direct-tv for 399.99. The Samsung OTA is also 399.99. The thing i would suggest is check out best buy for some out of box or returns, my friend got one there for a pretty good price.
The RGB(VGA) input on the Loewe looks slightly cleaner than the component. We hooked up a dish network model 6000 HD reciver to it. Depending on your dvd player it would probly be better to hook up your HD box with component and your DVD player with S-Video and let the Loewe do the progressive...
Dude, i saw that wierd science was on the WAM channel on digital cable at 8pm monday. I missed it that week so hopefully i will catch it next. Its so nice to have High School flash backs.
Comcast in SE michigan has also pickup up The NBA All-star weekend and game. Theres no press release for it yet but starting this mornning comcast has put up announcenment that it will be on channel 194(NBA TV HD)
It has excellent video quailty, we are running it on a mitz 73 inch gold plus. You could probly get similar video quality in the 1000-1500 price range. The audio when teamed with the 5803 is incredible. The DVD-9000 and 5803 combo is the best on the market for DVD-Audio (using the Denon Link) in...
Umm...it looks like monster has one for like 200 dollars, my guess is it wouldn't be worth it. I'd stick to the toshiba with S-video. http://www.monstercables.com/productPage.asp?pin=1555
The Aconda 30 inch will only accept a progressive scan signal in the RGB input not the component. The 38 accepts a 480p picture from both inputs so you will have to get a component to RGB converter. But in my opinion hooking up a progressive scan dvd players will not increase the quality much at...
the mitz platinum and the hitachi directory series all have built in HD decoders that will work with over the air Hd singal and HD cable signals. Sony and Toshiba are expected to come out with models around the summer/fall that will also feature tuners.
As a dish network dealer, according to our dish network rep they will prolby have it. But it may be costly, possibly 15 dollars a month. I think it gonna be pretty lame if every new cable channel that goes HD is gonna charge you extra to view.
Yes www.thegreatindoors.com. But they don't have much on the site. We can get any Jamo or Canton products and also carry Polk Audio and M&K. There are currenty only about 18 stores in the US.
I have the Jamo E800 surrond set and i am very pleased with them. I was also was considering the 850 and 870 but my room is quite small. They sound much better in my home setup then they did in the store. So i would recomend the Jamo's. I also sell them and have no complaints from any of my...
Sears carries the full mitz line except for diamond. Best carries a their own models that aren't on the mitz web site, they are basically the gold series with a few features striped out.
Yes the Gold Plus is now there HD-upgradeable line. The 65411 is the replacenment model for the 65819 which was a platinum plus line. The new platinum and platinum plus 65's (65511 and 65611) will have intergrated HD tuners, firewire, and netcommand.
