    JBL S26II and In-Wall Speakers

Hello all, I have 4 JBL S26II speakers with the S-Center. However, I am buying a new house and the 2 back S26II speakers are not going to work in the great room. So I would like to know of a good JBL in-wall speaker that will match rather well with the JBL S26II and S-Center? Thanks, Perry

    Sony DA4ES

I think a really kewl idea would be instead of the OSD (which I got over that one) have the remote show the volume setting or for that matter anything that is displayed on the LCD on the receiver. Also I have a question. I was reading the manual and it talks about 2 way remote control system...

    Sony DA4ES

Well hmmmm, Anyone know if the volume can be viewed on the screen? Maybe since it has that upgrade port this feature could be added later if it does not have that ability to do it now?

    Sony DA4ES

Hello, Well I got my Sony receiver from UPS today. I set it up and did compare it to the H/K 520. I have only played with the Sony for about a few hours. However, it to me sounds better. The sound is a little more detailed and full in both a home theater and music environment. I will post...

best cheap receiver to use as a dedicated pre-pro?

Hey, Speaking of the 410 in a HTPC, I just got one of these sound cards. I would like to know what kind of amp you can hook this up to? I would like to find a low priced amp to at least do a 5.1 configuration and then later upgrade to the 7.1. However, I figured I would still need an...

    Onkyo TX-SR600

Hello, Thanks for the help. Jon Duke, that is correct, I am referring to upconverting composite to s-video connections. So that feature and the pre-outs would be nice to have. Jeremy, could you do a review of the new Pioneer Elite VSX-41, when you get it? Thanks, Perry

    Onkyo TX-SR600

Hello all, I just bought the Onkyo TX-SR600. It seems very good and I do like the features. However, I notice it is missing a few things I would have liked. For instants, component switching ( I think it is called?) and pre-outs. I talked with Onkyo and basically to get that I would have to...

    JBL Speaker Choices

That would handle the speakers. Good idea about the cable at Home Depot. Now you hook the speakers to the receiver? and then what do you hook to the sub? I figured I would get some kind of gold plated cables for the components. And then be all set. I just not sure how the sub gets involved in...

    JBL Speaker Choices

Hello again, Ok, I did it. I ordered the JBL S26II's for the mains and surrounds. I also ordered the JBL S-CenterII and PB10. Along with the Onkyo Tx-sr600. I should be getting it here via UPS in about a week. Now I have a few more questions. :) I have never hooked up a sound system...

    JBL Speaker Choices

This is what I think I am going to do for now. Get the JBL S26II's for mains and surrounds. Then in about a year or whenever I actually have a room that I can call the home theater, I could then use those speakers as a 7.1 setup and then get the S312's for the mains. That might be a good upgrade...

    JBL Speaker Choices

Phil, Based on what you are saying. Keeping all the speakers basically the same ( mains and surrounds). It sounds (no pun intended ;) ) that the JBL S26II would be the best route to go? Perry
