To save the settings you must first hit the "test" button on the remote. Then set each speaker with "ch sel" button and the up and down arrows ("under level"). After your finished with your settings hit the "test" button again. Your settings will now be saved.
I just ordered the Avia Guide to Home Theater and now plan on buying a SPL meter at Radio Shack. Do you guys recommend the analog meter or the digital meter? The digital meter is $15 more expensive, but I don't mind the increased cost if it's superior. Which one do you recommend?
Eric, Unfortunately I have not tried Pearl Harbor or JPIII on the Onkyo HT-S650. This problem is not manufacturer specific. I've heard stories of audio dropouts with Denon, Outlaw and Kenwood as well. You can always play either DVD in DTS mode so this shouldn't be an issue. Michael
