I have von schweikert lcr15s on their stands with the rubber feet on the corners. I asked schweikert about the blu tac stuff, and they said if they won't be bumped by running children or pets the rubber feet are fine. It also makes it easier to re-position them if you need/want to.

A marantz 7300ose is better imo than both of those. AC4less had 4 this morning, 0 left now however. I'd look for one of those, I have one.

AC4Less now has a few of the 7300ose for anyone looking at a 7400

The reciever that I said was running warm was a 7400 with a pair of thiel cs1.6, 4ohm speakers that may have preferred more power. My 7300ose and 8000 don't run warm though I am now using 8ohm Von Schweikert lcr15 with both.

Chris, The 7400 will sound better than every model below it except the 7300ose. The 7300ose is in the same class as the 8400, the 8000 doesn't have all the different modes, pl2, cs2, neo6, etc. but it does have better shielding with the copper bottom/chassis, and it uses better quality parts...
