also...the so called technical problems are with the onscreen guide. There are no problems with the units, picture or audio quality. The technical problem excuse is only because they do not have enough units for all of the various Comcast locations. Chris
Tim: I traded in my digital box and HDTV box this past Saturday at Comcasts Ivyland location (Warrington/Doylestown area)and received the new DCT 5100. It is a very slick looking unit (silver and very slim). I received the box free of charge since i went to the payment office in person...
At least next week's Panic Room initial release is a superbit title. Unfortunately, as few of the reviews say that this is not a great transfer due to almost every scene being so darkly lit. I'd be scared to see how bad a non-superbit transfer of this movie would have been.
Sorry if this was already mentioned, but I found it interesting that Blade 2 is mislabled on the back of the keepcase as being 2:35 aspect ration instead of 1:85. Didn't see it mentioned anywhere else so though I'd pass along in case someone had a question about the correct aspect ratio for...
With all of the hype from the Lord of the Rings DVD release, I was trying to recall what was the very first DVD to be release day and date with the vhs. When DVD was new, I remember always having to wait a few months after the the vhs for the dvd. My guess is the Jerry Maguire DVD.
Just recently, I noticed on my Toshiba 50h81 the left grey bar when watching 4x3 material (I normally use wide 1 for TV, but was switching between modes when I noticed this) bends outward at the bottom. The right bar is fine. It was not always like this, just a few weeks ago, the gemometry on...
Just read some prior posts on the same topic, and wanted to add additional ifo to clarify my particular situation/question... I'm concerned because after letting the set warm up, the convergence will often drift after only five minutes after performing the 9-point. Am I supposed to save it? I...
Hello everyone: I have a question in regards to convergence with the Toshiba 50h81. I recently purchased this set earlier this summer. I had performed the basic 9 point user convergence the other day after letting the set warm up for about 30 minutes. Watched about 5 minutes of a dvd and on a...
Keith: I've decided to keep the Sony 715p. I have to admit, the image is slighty (and I mean slightly) better on the Panasonic Rp-62. However, the vertical image shift is very noticeable to me and since the image quality is very close, I'll keep the sony. People can't really lose with...
I put more stock into a movies video and audio presentation than the special edition supplements. Therefore I don't mind when a Buena Vista releases dual versions of "Pearl Harbor" as long as the audio and video are the same. However...What bothers me are the Sony-columbia tristar SuperBits...
Hello all: Although I have always enjoyed anime since Sci-Fi network began broadcasting anime a number of years ago, I didn't really fully begin to appreciate it's beauty until I started to watch Anime in DVD. I am interested in getting suggestions on region 1 Anime titles that are in...
I have been following a number of the posts in regard to both the latest Sony DVD and Panasonic DVD players. I have both the Panasonic RP-62 and Sony 715P. Supposedly, the Panasonic does not suffer from the chroma bug. If that is the case, I have not noticed the chroma bug with the 715p when...
