Question is there a diference in the video and audio quality between the expensive deluxe DVD box set and just the stand alone movie version DVD? I do not want the box set with all the extras just the basic movie version. Thanks for the help and info! Brian

The current release is acceptable and it is MGM also so i am shocked it even looks as good as it does! No need to watch the first 2 in the trilogy before watching the Ugly. All of the 3 are independent of each other. Glad to hear they are working on a SE. Speaking of Eastwood WHERE EAGLES DARE...

On the Digital Bits website it appears he is saying the Two Towers will be released in May on 2 and 4 disc sets!? But right after that he mentions a movie from MGM. I believe it is listed in his rumor mill. Any word at this early stage on a 4 disc SE set ala the The Fellowship 4 DVD set? Thanks

Hi any info on the "Where Eagles Dare" DVD? I have never been thrilled with MGMs older title DVDs as they usually suffer picture wise. If anybody knows anything about this DVD release please let me know. Also does MGM own the rights to this movie? Thanks
