Detailed info: Spaced DVD news: Press Release & Box Art for Spaced - The Complete Series | TVShowsOnDVD.com I'm still not convinced that everything from the UK three-disc release is on this one i.e. commentary.
I was also wondering if all extras would be there including the commentaries. I have the three-disc set as well and I hope he was referring to that when he made the comment. I'm sure someone will post more when the info is out there.
I read the article on a website last month but can't remember which one. I have the three disc R2 release and knowing them, they may find some new bits to put on there to make me buy it again. Hope so!
Hopefully some of you caught the recent PBS Pioneers of TV specials. One was on sitcoms and had quite a bit of DVD content plus two other faves: the Andy Griffith Show and the Honeymooners. If not, check for reruns.
Anyone pick this up yet? Here's a review: DVD Talk Review: Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C. - The Third Season He also has links in it for reviews of the first two seasons.
I enjoy his films and own all of the ones below. For some reason they all have a similar score for the most part. Good, not great, but not awful either. Hmmmm. Switchblade Sisters (1975) *** The Swinging Cheerleaders (1974) *** Foxy Brown (1974) *** Coffy (1973) *** The Big Bird Cage...
Saw the fridge at BB tonight. I'm still leaning toward the B&N price at this point. The fridge was too darn large and heavy and white. I think the standard black looks classier-at least for my home.
So B&N was 20 percent off and then they went to 10 percent off. Do they have a pattern of going to 0 or maybe 20 percent off after the release date? Or is 10 percent as good as it's going to get?
What was the price the other day? Now when I go to B&N it's only 10 percent off list. Members pay $229.99 so half of that would be $115 plus the $25 member fee. I'm guessing it was 20 percent off yesterday?
Henry Gale wrote: I like James Taylor & Dennis Wilson, as musicians. The idea of them having lead roles in a movie was not promising for me. That's probably the main reason I waited about 34 years to see Two-Lane Blacktop (1971). I was in error...it's a damn fine film. So you're...
I agree-more Warren Oates is a good thing. I enjoyed this flick but it didn't quite grab me enough for a purchase and extra viewing at this time. Aaron said: Guys, I am working on an official review of this release. It's been held up because my central air has been down for...
From the Criterion thread: TWO-LANE BLACKTOP Drag racing east from L.A. in a souped-up ’55 Chevy are the wayward Driver and Mechanic (singer/songwriter James Taylor and the Beach Boys’ Dennis Wilson, in their only acting roles), accompanied by a tagalong Girl (Laurie Bird). Along the way...
It may be obvious that he's one of my favorite cult directors. I even have the high-priced biography on the guy (found it super cheap on eBay after searching for it to show for two years) that I've only read a bit of so far. Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out! (1989) Iguana...
I saw a UK mag tonight that mentioned a CC was coming for TLB. Can't wait to find out when. I have the standard issue DVD and the tin and didn't know the tin was going for anymore than retail. Hmmmm.
No one has mentioned the great Jason Falkner??? He's a power pop/pop kinda guy. Here's the info from AllMusic: Biography by John Bush A one-time member of the West Coast neo-psychedelic bands the Three O'Clock and Jellyfish, Jason Falkner went out on his own by 1996, playing...
Thanks for the info. I haven't heard these in years even though I have the vinyl. I remember owning an early single/ep? that would have been good as extras. I'll have to look for it and post what was on it if you're interested.
