    StarWars.Com - Widescreen Vs. Fullscreen

Great article from starwars.com. On a side note, the comparison of screengrabs from the Obi-wan/Jango Fett conversation really showed the advantages of widescreen. I thought that was a very effective scene in the movie theater with Obi-Wan reacting to Jango Fett in the same frame. On the pan...

I think that the movie's pacing and editing were good. Of course, I say that without having seen the 8 deleted scenes. :D

Would you like trailers before the movie?

Just as long as they are not "forced" trailers. I don't mind them as an extra but they are not that important to me. The only trailer on a dvd that I really enjoyed was the LOTR rings trailer on the Rush Hour 2 dvd.

*** Official "MINORITY REPORT" Discussion Thread

What was up with all the advertisements in this film. (Pepsi, Burger King, etc). I thought the scene in "The Gap" was not necessary. I like movies without commercials. :D

Skip the theater, Get the DVD?

I would still see a movie at a DLP theater. That is a great experience - tremendous video and audio quality. However, regular projection theaters are not worth the hassle for me. The prints are often scratched or dusty. I can't get into a movie with the distractions of people talking, using...

    Star Wars at Costco

After watching the special edition of the Star Wars trilogy, I have to admit that some of the effects do look dated. (ex. matte lines around the Rancor). I understand why Lucas wants to update these effects so the movies are consistent with the prequel trilogy.

    how far away is HD-DVD??

Based on what I have read, I would say 2-5 years at the earliest. Most maufacturers have agreed on a standard for the blue laser format. However, there is also a push for a modified red laser format.

    Movie posters?

You want to get an original one sheet and double sided AOTC poster. Its much better quality than a reprint. The star wars fan club has what may be original one-sided posters for $9.99. swfan.wizards.com. You can call them to confirm.
