.... MUST ..... RESIST .... THIS ... I promised my wife to avoid buying any DVDs until my next birthday in october. How should I survive such a long time without these 4 movies :) ?
@Robert If you have a codefree DVD player then order it from Amazon.de The German title is "Der Scharfschütze". OK, it's PAL and you guys talk about RC1 DVDs but hey, it's better than nothing. If you need assistance .... :)
Now, if somebody could tell me the content of these box sets - are these all new titles ? • “Errol Flynn Westerns” • “Western Classics Collection" And hopefully Clint Eastwood started to record audio commentaries for the Dirty Harry movies (but I doubt it).
For thoses interested in the German release mentioned by SteveGon. OFDb - Fassung zu Explosion des Schweigens (1961) German Title Explosion des Schweigens It has indeed a audio commentary provided by Allen Baron.
I want QUO VADIS How the West was won as Special Edition Many Westerns in general AND Audio commentaries for all their classic relaseses. I'm still sad to have Gregory Peck's Captain Horatio Hornblower R.N. without a commentary.
Was it really that hard to find somebody who would contribute an audio commentary to this fine film ? Man, these cheap studio exec really suck .... Anyway, it's scary but I'm really thinking about buying this colorized version, just to compare it to my Silver Screen Edition.
@Robert Well, Stewart Granger and Rober Taylor were both big stars on the german public tv during my childhood days. I don't know what that means in US box office business but I sure hope they still have a few fans left the US who are eager to buy their movies on DVD. Or do you assume that...

So - finally I did it. I walked to my shelf with the unwatched DVD sets and choose EVERWOOD (which I bought october 06) as my next thing to watch. Oh boy .... why would somebody cancel this series ? Did it really went downhill story and quality wise ? It somehow reminds me on "Wonderfalls"...
To be honest, right now I don't care much about it. I am not very interested in reading new announcements from Warner (besides asking for new seasons of CHEYENNE, but that's not the right thread to complain about tv stuff - I know). I bought so many DVDs (Bot sets and tv seasons) in the last two...
I would like to contribute more to this thread but I'm unaware about the classic western still resting in Warners Vaults. I gladly bought all new FOX western releases in the last years and I would and will do the same with all Warner westerns. I also bought those triple features with Randolph...
I glady join you guys by asking for more Warner Western releases. And I dare add - audio commentaries for these future releases would be appreciated as well by me.
