I think the fake look was on purpose. I'm sure the budget would have allowed for a more realistic look, but Beatty was wanting the film to look like the comic strips it was drawn from.
I only owned the VHS, it was 4:3. :D
Along with Batman (89) and The Rocketeer, this was one of the few really...
Lot of good looking movies on that list, in my opinion. I only really find a handful of movies each year worth trekking out to the theater for though. Here's my list of ones I definitely plan on seeing in theaters:
Iron Man 3
Star Trek Into Darkness
Man of Steel
The Wolverine
Thor: The Dark...
Well, SHIELD has potential, but if we're gonna have a Marvel TV show, I want some superheroes dangit! Somehow this concept seems too broad and too limiting at the same time if that makes any sense. In order for a concept as big as SHIELD to work, they would probably have to focus on a smaller...
Exactly! :) No really, obviously I'd prefer the focus be on superheroics, just saying that throwing in a bit of a legal-drama twist may make it an easier sell to the networks.
I really don't know if I even care whether or not Fox retains the rights to Silver Surfer and Galactus, I could see awesome uses of those characters in FF films or Marvel Universe films, but I would also like to see Marvel get Daredevil back. It's been reported that Marvel is looking to break...
And the story has already been denied:

What's true? Only time will tell I guess.
I don't think Epguides has complete information. According to The Futon Critic, there will also be new episodes on August 20th and 27th, before it moves back to it's regular Friday night slot on September 14th.

While I was originally of the "it's too early for a reboot" mindset, I finally realized that since that was going to happen whether I wanted it or not, I may as well just judge this movie on its on merits. And you know what? I actually kind of enjoyed it. Sure, it changed Peter from a nerd...
That possibility may still exist...at least at one point Fox was also considering Trank to reboot "The Fantastic Four." I doubt he would be able to do both, but I don't think he's firmly attached to either yet. I would rather see another shot at FF before Venom myself.
Funny.
Also, just because it hasn't been mentioned here, but the release date on Thor 2 has changed, twice actually. It was moved to November 15, 2013, then moved up one week to it's current scheduled date of November 8, 2013.
Interesting. A couple of guys at work tried to see the midnight showing of Prometheus there last night, and were told that the IMAX projector was not working. They ended up seeing it in 2D on a tiny screen. I don't know if this is the same issue or if something else was wrong with the...
Looking at the Target ad, it appears by the packaging that the Princess Diaries 10th Anniversary Combo pack actually includes both the original movie and it's sequel.
Quick question: Are there separate BD and DVD discs, or is it a flipper like the recent Twilight: Eclipse release. My wife needs to know, we like to buy the combo packs of kid movies, knowing our nieces and nephews can take the DVD copies home.
You're probably right on "Hank" but "The Middle" (along with "Modern Family" and "Cougar Town" just got their full season orders:

NBC spreads out its fall premieres By Rick Porter | June 25, 2009 12:18 PM NBC had already announced that "The Jay Leno Show" would premiere a week before the official start of the 2009-10 TV season. The network will take its time rolling out the rest of the fall schedule, though. Leno's...
CBS lays out a tight fall premiere schedule By Rick Porter | June 24, 2009 1:46 PM CBS will take the concept of "premiere week" very seriously this fall, launching nearly its entire lineup the week of Sept. 21. The only outliers on the Eye's launch schedule are "Survivor: Samoa," which will...
ABC, CW and Fox have announced season premiere dates, if anybody's interested: ABC books fall premieres: 'Grey's' cliffhanger ends Sept. 24 - From Inside the Box - Zap2it Here's the rundown (all times Eastern): Sunday, Aug. 9 9 p.m. "Shark Tank" Tuesday, Aug. 25 8 p.m. "Shark Tank"...
Yeah, as much as I griped about the delay, after years of the FCC pumping up the Feb. 17th date, I agree that June makes so much more sense, for all the reasons you mentioned: Better weather conditions if antenna work needs to be done and less programming to be disrupted.
Technically, the Digital Transition is ENDING today. A transition, by definition, is something that takes place over a period of time, and the digital transition has been taking place for 10 years now. Today is the end of the full-power analog age. Sorry, that's a nitpick I know, but everyone...
Basically, The Goode Family is the flip-side to King of the Hill. The Hills were traditional and conservative, and Hank Hill's aversion to anything "politically correct" was one of the cornerstones of the show. The Goode's, on the other hand, go out of their way to be PC, even when they...
