so i went to B&H in NY (down the street from work) and picked up a pair of grado SR60's. these things sound great...however like the reviews i've read online say, there is a good deal of sound leakage. enough to make me want to return them and get another pair with a closed design as i think...

i have SB2's as my front mains, C1 as my center, SS1's as my surrounds with a KSW12 as my sub. i have a small room, and it fills it very nicely. i'm a klispch fan myself and have no problem recommending them to anyone.

i tried to look up the receiver online but info was a bit short on it. a sub seems out of the question for them as well. also,they would only be using these for listening to CDs.

i would say anything over 200 is out of the question for them. i don't think sound quality is super important to them, but i don't want to buy them a piece of junk either, you know? i think size is more important to them. they want something that can comfortably sit on top of their cabinet. thanks!

it seems to me that most recent DVD releases no longer offer a standard 2.0 audio mix and plays in 5.1 by default. this is fine when i'm watching discs on my setup, but more often than not im watching a flick on a friend's or the family TV that uses only the basic setup. the sound is unbalanced...
