I got my Onkyo TX-SR800 in a few days ago and am loving it! The sound is very natrual on my Polk Rti speakers.

Has anyone had or heard of this probelm on the TX-SR800 model? I am thinking of getting one.

Ok besides the two listed, Best buy has a open box deal on a Yamaha HTR 5750 for 230.00 with 1 year warranty. The salesman at best buy said he hates Onkyo , But I have heard some really good reviews about this receiver and Onkyos in general so I think I am just going to spend the extra 100.00...

I don't think I did. I can still hear great from both ears its just that little high pitched noise that is on top of sound.

My speakers are the same ones I have used on some of my other subs. I have some smallmed size kenwood speakers at the momoent. I have the reciver set to small speakers cause they can't do much in that area. The sub's crossover is set around 120hz

I have the JBL PB-12. A 12 inch downward fireing 250 watt driven sub. However I have noticed it can't repouduce frequinces in the 85-150hz range as strong as most subs do. If I put a wood board under it over the carpet for it to sit on would this help out any?

Form what I have read tinnitus is when you hear sounds when there is nothing external causeing the eardrum to vibrate. That is not what is happening with me so Im pretty sure thats not it. I was wearing some standard foam hearing plugs while shooting.
