I have been searching for the 829259 in Malaysia for some time and only place was to order a 300meter reel for around USD1750.
I have no use for such a large amount of cables :thumbsdown: :frowning: And it's way to expensive.. The total amount is more than my 1/4 year salary :P...
Guys & Gals, Problem here. As my Onkyo is getting repaired for the darn ticking. I had to remove everything from the receiver and had to connect the DVD player direct into the TV. It used to be connected by component cables, this time i used a "China" S-Video cable. It gave a terrible...
Wondering.. How many HT Enthusiast here are also ICE crazies? I have not seen any mention of ICE at all in the whole forum. BTW if you do know any good forums for ICE, please do post some links. Thanks a dozen guys/gals!!
Jay, I don't know if it's my ears or what. But it seems if it is not a DD-EX/DTS-ES DVD, switching on the EX/ES will lower the volume and kind of soften the overall effect (Expecially when you use the THX option compared to the Surround). Have you experienced this before?
I have a Onkyo 797 & a Pioneer 633A.
The receiver is ES & EX enabled. The DVD player only has DTS and DD stated on the specs.
I have tested 2 main DVDs for testing ES/EX, the Phantom Menace & Gladiator.
It seems that the receiver doesn't auto recognize the ES/EX flag. I have to switch it...
