alrighty, this is the 2nd time this has happened. I have my basscube 8 (yes, i will get a new sub sometime, this one isn't too great) plugged into a surge protector and it's on auto mode for power. Twice now it has blown for some reason, not when in use either. I'll come home and it just won't...
I have a Sony STR-DE675 receiver. Today, I went to use the tuner, I'm in FM mode and i got a jazz station when the preset was tuned into my normal rock station. So i went through all my presets(different radio stations) and they were all the jazz station. I turned it off, tried later and got...
I have a Sony STR- DE675 Receiver with 5.1 CSW speakers on it. I have a question about it. Right now, when I plug in headphones in the headphone jack that is on the front of the receiver, it mutes all sound to the speakers, which is should do. And it comes up with the text spk. off on the LCD...
BAH, could anyone reccomend a good receiver that does the assigning of digital outputs? I can't get anything now, but for the future when I have more money. Something sub-1000$ would be best hehe. Thanks :)
I just thought of another problem I might have. If anyone can answer either of my 2 questions I would be grateful!
here is the back of my receiverclick here
Now, the digital cable I'm assuming gets connected to the TV/SAT area? If so, then I could do the S-Video from the cable box to the...
k, thanks. Now, can I mix the 2 audio signals, optical and coax digital audio? Like right now, I have the reciever on Opt mode so the DVD player works with the Digital Audio cable. If I put it on some sort of Auto mode could I successfully use both those signals when switching from the DVD...
I think the problem was that I was using an S-Video cable from the DVD player to the receiver, but than RCA to the TV. My TV is able to switch to Input 1-S-Video for the DVD player then on regular TV it works with the VCR. I will have to try that composite hookup with the VCR. When I do get the...
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum! I know this has been asked a lot, so sorry if it gets repetative.
Here is my Setup(I'm on a limitied budget, so it's all I can do for now)

Just saw the movie last night. I liked some parts of it, but I was pretty dissapointed with Ben Affleck as Jack Ryan. Not one of my favorite movies, but it was tolerable. And John, I agree with you on your pointabout the carrier. I mean, it was just too unreal. The planes kept going on and off...
I think I'm either going to get

Do you think the silver or black would look bad on the wall? Or do you end up not even seeing it? If you don't see the black on the speaker...
ok, I'm not sure if I'll have that problem because my speaker is a bit smalller in height, but still it's a good thing to think about. I appreciate the help Jeff and I'll take a look at Parts Express :)
Hmm, good point to think on Jeff, thanks. Jason, I appreciate the offer, but currently I don't have any method of online payment so I don't think it's gonna work out. Thanks for the offer though! I'm going to be mounting the speakers in 2 corners on the wall, for positioning I just want them to...
has anyone ever used these?

Those are the reccomended wall mounts for my speakers. Unless anyone has bad things to say, I think i'll get those. 29.99$ a pair
I just need some advice here. I'm going to be moving my CSW Newton M50's to rear speakers so I want to get wall mounts for them. I want something that rotatoes and obviously is able to support my speakers. Idealy if they are available in white/cream color that'd be great. Thanks!
I guess I'll do that. I also called CSW and they told me just to bring the sub in. So I'll see what happens, althought bringing the fuse to Radio SHack might be the easiest way!
I forgot to look this morning on my sub to see if the fuse is a fast acting or a slow-blow, does anyone have a CSW Basscube 8s and know which type of fuse it uses??
Well, we had a nasty lighting storm today and my sub no longer turns on. It was in a surge protector but i guess it fried. I took out the fuse and it was partially black, so I think that's the culpret. I got the fuse specs from the manual: 1A 250V What do I ask for when I goto radio shack...
thnx, quick question though, for this link http://crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-9lN...photos&a=0&s=0
I know this is a dumb question but for that price and that package, it does come with 2 mounts right??
I posted this is another forum, but I think this is the right place to put it. Sorry for the confusion! Hello, nice place ya'll have here I currently have a setup as follows: Sony receiver 2 CSW Newton M50's for front 1 CSW Newton M80 as a center CSW basscube 8s I'm planning on moving...
