I have had some friends say, "This is NOT Hi-def!?" The picture is so good it looks like it is Hi-def. I watch Hi-def with my 4805 connected to a Dish Network 6000u and the PQ is great.
Keep the dvd player set to 16:9. You didn't mention what t.v. you have, but usually the t.v. will have a setting of "full" or maybe "wide" for the aspect ratio for anamorphic movies. I have a Panny widescreen t.v. and I use "full" for the setting.
Actually, if you go to the blockbuster website, they are now promoting Online rentals for 19.95 a month/3 out plan, just like netflix. They are also advertising over 25,000 titles. Anybody tried them out yet?
I agree somewhat. With all the hype surrounding this movie I thought it was going to be wall to wall action. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but with all the rave reviews, I guess I went into this movie thinking it was going to be flawless. The cg was very good though, they are getting...
If you plan on using it with a Progressive scan DVD player you might wnat to pick up a component to vga adapter. Also, make sure you check out the "faq" in the link above. It has everything you need to know.

PRS has some awesome guitars. Great sound and they look cool as well. I am starting to see alot of guitarist switching to PRS over the years.i.e., Santana, Mark Tremonti of Creed, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Chris henderson of 3 doors down, Dave Navarro, etc.

Well, to the average audio/video guy like myself, I don't see much difference in component cables. I have an xp-30 myself and the dish network hd6000u receiver. I have hooked it up using "thx" monster cables and also with the cheap component cables that came with the 6000u. Not really enough...
I would go with option #2. I have had the JBLs38II, and the s-center for awhile now and for the price I think they are a great speaker set-up. Plus they would be timbre matched. You might want to find something other than the s38II for your surrounds though.
 Sorry..playing devils advocate here. I don't mind some of the old rap groups like beastie boys and run DMC, but this new "gangsta" rap has no point. My opinion of course. When I was a teenager these groups were pretty good, but with age comes an appreciation for real musicianship...
I am in the market for an overhead video console for a 2004 chevy suburban. I would like it to play DVDs and I would like it to be capable to play the audio through the car sound system. Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.
Russel: I am in the same situaiton as you are. I just bumped up the back surrounds in the receivers "channel adjust". I think it also has something to do with the side surrounds. I have trouble hearing effects from the back surrounds, but i think the side surrounds drown out some of the back...
I'm going to join the very few who liked TTT a little better. I am new to the LOTR series and based on just the movies and not the books I would give the nod to TTT. The battle of Pelinor(sp?) fields was fantastic, but I thought TTT had a little more action and flowed a little better. Don't get...
Well first off it depends on your tv/monitor, and audio/video equipment inputs. The DVD should be hooked up with component video cables for best picture, unless you have a DVD player and tv/monitor that has DVI. The ps2 can also be hooked up via component cables as well, or s-video, again...
