This was probably the best episode so far, but... C'mon. First there's the idiot cop, then you have the mom pointlessly giving herself up. This would be the highest profile case in the country, it involves a kidnapped kid, a murdering cult and a serial killer. There's an army of FBI agents...
The first episode was terrible regardless of the behind the scenes drama. It was a total swing and miss. The second was certainly better, but I can't say it left me confident about the rest of the season.
This show is just a series of silly events leading to more silly events. It's just one thing after another. The whole plot is just a continuous string of dumb decisions. I can forgive the odd plot hole, but it just seems like every plot point is so contrived - from big things like the woman...
The whole Hunger Games "parody" was a huge fail and considering that was half the show, it didn't leave much room for error in the rest. There were a few hits in the rest (Blond & The Blind), but not many. Even the laugh track felt forced, and was more annoying than funny.
This has "follower of the week" written all over it. I'll give it a few more, but the pilot was pretty standard police procedural with the catch being that it stars Kevin Bacon. It might end up surprising me, but when was the last time a network show did that?
Just burned through The Hour (BBC 6 part miniseries) on Netflix. Great show. It's like Madmen except stuff actually happens ;). (I do like Madmen)
It's basically part 50's period piece/spy thriller/political thriller with Madmen office politics. There are a couple weak points and distractions in...
So many shows fail at adding tension & drama to their "action" scenes. It's not often that a non-serialized network cop show offers compelling drama like that. Other than the overdone sexual harassment in the early eps, this has easily been my top new show this year.
Might give this one more episode, but the pilot doesn't give me any reason to think that there's an entertaining season of TV with this premise. Maybe if it was on cable and there was some real TnA it would be mildly interesting, but really it's just jumping on the Madmen bandwagon, the lead...
There's something not right with the way they are recording her dialogue. The other characters seem fine. but Beals' dialogue sounds like someone reading off a script in a sound booth.
My pvr was pretty much empty so I decided to check this out,I wasn't expecting much, but this is about as bad as scripted television can get. Who greenlights this crap? It's fine to do something light and mindless, Human Target & The Good Guys pull it off, but I've seen saturday morning cartoons...
I'm enjoying it too, but sometimes there are ridiculous things that could have been executed much better. Perfect example is the two planes crashing together. The "CPI" or whatever device is bad enough, but there is no way that you could cause two planes to crash into each other just by telling...
I think Magni and Storm are head and shoulders above everyone else, including Lukas and Dilana. All 4 can command the stage, but Lukas doesn't have the range (as evidenced by Creep) and I think Dilana (who was my early fave) has slipped a bit in her recent performances. On the other hand, Magni...
So, umm, if Burke was returning by helicopter how did he get shot at the front door? IMO, this show has been going downhill since the superbowl episodes.
What an annoying ending. They should have just had the president off himself and end the season right there... instead we get a ridiculous bierko escape, heller alive for no reason, jack sitting around while the one piece of evidence, that is essentially keeping him alive, rests in the hands of...
I see products around me all the time in real life, it doesn't really bother me when I see them in movies and tv shows. As for The Loop, that was obviously a parody, but it was likely also a paid ad.
Ya I don't really understand the concept... at first I thought it was going to be interesting, but since it's impossible to figure anything out based on the evidence alone what's the point? All gimmicks aside, it was a pretty average cop show, but I'll give it a few more eps to see if it goes...
