i posted a while back that i had purchased a 42" sony lcd rear projection and ended up returning it due to being disappointed with the dvd and broadcast quality. i'm still stuck with requirements that it must be light (no more 250+ lb tv's for me!). i noticed that one of the lower cost EDTV...
i sold my primary tv (36" panny hd tau) for one reason: i was tired of dealing with its weight when moving. so, i'm off to my dealer tomorrow to pick up something LIGHT. :) i have looked at the usual LCD and DLP projection units (front projection is not an option yet) and...
A friend has asked me to help him pick out a new projection tv. He is upgrading from a 47" GE 4:3 unit. He wants to stay at $2500 or under. His viewing habits are 80% satellite/cable tv...20% dvd. He wants the largest screen available, and i would say is very flexible with quality vs...

thoughts?
i have already purchased the 40" XBR...but it won't be delivered for a few weeks (until i move into my new place)...so i can continue to look for something else (can't hurt, right?) ;)
i was just at circuit city (shiver...ick), but looked at the Panasonic Tau HD 36" and the picture was very...
any rough estimate of the power requirements to hook my receiver, tv, etc into a computer UPS instead of the normal "Monster Strip" or similar? obviously i don't care about the backup time associated with the UPS, but i already have a UPS and would use that instead of buying another $80-$100+...
Just found this forum a few weeks ago and finally signed up. I have been impressed with the mature level of conversation and of course, the vast knowledge the members have. :emoji_thumbsup:
I have been building a new HT system for a few months...and have come to the TV. Below are the...
