I have the tall stand from wal-mart and love it. I saw one exactly like it by another company at Ultimate for 299.99, it was a no-brainer to go with the 79.99 one at wal-mart. :D
What transfer mode should I set the picture to. It offers: Auto 1 (normal) for viewing film material Auto 2 for viewing film material(the same as Auto 1, but able to convert 30 frame-per-second progressive video) Video for video material. I have the output mode set to 480p and progressive...
Guys, as I've stated and the pioneer manual states, you can only use 8-16ohm speakers with the 811s. Just get the the jbls and your problem is solved.^^^There is no such switch on the 811s, the receiver is fixed to the 8-16 ohm range.
I have a pioneer 850s and I'm telling you it won't handle 6ohm speakers. Look in your instruction booklet on the connecting speakers page. Under the Memo section it should state: Use speakers with a nominal impedance of 8ohms to 16ohms.
What is the ohm of your speakers? If they are 4 or 6, the 811s will not handle them correctly. Unfortunately the 811s only handles 8ohm speakers correctly.
I have the 850s and I've never pressed the 7.1 button for anything. I selected sb in the set-up and left the sound mode in auto-detect and whenever I play Rush Hour 2, Blade 2, etc. the sb led lights up and sound comes from the back speaker.
Thomas is correct. I have the 850s and the midnight setting makes music sound much better. It doesn't really do anything for dynamic range control as does the separate drc option. I guess this is something unique to pioneer. Musically the marantz line is a better option. The pioneer is great for...
yeah, and i loved my avr-320 until it started shutting off over and over. i have a pioneer 850s and have had no problems. my buddy caleb has a 320 also and started having the hk ghost shutting his receiver off constantly this past sunday. i'm glad you are enjoying your 320, i'll never purchase a...
the 850s does decode ddex, it's just not in the manual due to some legal issues at the time with d-labs and lucas. it does decode 6.1 dts matrix and does have speaker outs for a surround back which has its' on amp.it is a 6.1 receiver. i have one with the surround back hooked up and it decodes...
i'd say that after 3 avg. scores, you should believe the game to be an avg game. the scores say, some people will say it is great, while some will say it is lower than whale crap.
sorry vlad, actually my 2y/o son on my lap was tapping the back button when i was trying to edit and it caused the three posts. i really do understand that i only need to hit the reply button once. sorry if i offended anyone.
these are probably not receivers your are interesting in but the review is from sound and vision mag. the reviews are unbiased and involve the denon 2802, pioneer 850s, and the sony 1070. you will see that the there are positives and negatives as usual, but no outright bias for one brand. i own...
