    SVS 20-39PC + vs. Servo 15..opinions please

Hi all, I'm struggling with a decision between these 2 subs. I currently have a Paradigm PW-2200 and I'm cosidering upgrading because I feel as though it's a little weak in the subsonic frequency range. I don't want to just hear an explosion I want to hear it! I'm wondering which sub you...

    Rotel RMB-1075 vs. RMB-1066.Big difference??

I just bought an RMB-1066 (5 x 70W) but I am considering stepping up to the 1075 (5 x 120W). At the time I bought the 1066 I was unaware that the 1075 had just had a $200 price drop. I could probably trade up to the 1075 for another $300. For those who have heard both do you think there's a...

    Dumb question on bi-amping....

I was always under the impression that if you bi-amped your speakers at say 60 Watts to both the High Frequency and Low Frequency drivers that your power output was about the same as 120 Watts in a non bi-amped setup. Is this true or false??

    RMB-1066: Configuration Question

I just purchased a new RMB-1066 amp which I am using to drive my 3 fronts-Paradigm Studio 60's and CC. I am wondering whether I am better off bi-amping (Yes, fool's bi-amping) these speakers with 60 watts going to the HF and LF terminals or bridging at 150W in a non bi-amp configuration. Which...

    Rotel RSX-1055 impressions....

Just heard the new Rotel A/V Receiver last night. I was very impressed to say the least. First of all the unit is beautiful to look at (this was the black version). Does'nt have the large heat sinks in the front like the 1065 but it does have a slightly more "industrial" look than your average...

Scored a pair of Paradigm Studio 40's for $400!!

I was at a local dealer yesterday buying a Rotel RMB-1066 amp when I noticed a pair of Studio 40's in Light Cherry laminate (Mint condition). I casually asked how much they guy wanted for them. He said $400. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I walked out with a new amp and a pair of Studio...

    Upgrade advice needed!!

I am currently using a Rotel RSP-985 Pre/Pro with a Marantz MM-9000. When driving my Paradigm Studio 60's and Studio CC I feel that my system is a bit on the bright (harsh sounding) side. This is not really an issue with HT but more so with music. Admittedly some of this is due to room acoustics...

Studio ADP's or ADP-370's for surrounds???

Right now I have Studio 60's and a Studio-CC up front. I will eventually have a 5.1 setup but next year I may add 2 rears. My question is whether anyone has done a direct comparison of the Studio-ADP vs. the ADP-370. The Studio-ADP is the natural choice in staying within the Reference line...

Mirage Ominisats - Big thumbs up!

:emoji_thumbsup: I heard these yesterday at Tweeter and I was VERY impressed! Great set of speakers for the price. At first I kind of dismissed these as a gimmicky Bose-like ripoff. But after hearing Steely Dan-2 Against Nature in 5.1 DTS I can safely recommend these to anyone looking for a...

Studio 60 owners-Any problems with sibilance??

I've had my 60's for about a week now and they are nowhere near being broken in but I have observed some sibilance on certain source material. What I mean is that kind of "spitty" sound on S's and F's. A good example would be my James Taylor-Live at Beacon Theater DVD on the 2nd track where he...

    Paradigm Studio 60-2nd impressions

A few weeks ago I said that I had A/B'd the Paradigm Monitor 11's to the Studio 60's and actually preferred the 11's. Well, after owning the Monitor 11 v.3's for about a week and taking a 2nd listen to the Studio 60's all I can say is "forgive me Father for I have sinned!". The 60's KILL the...

Why no SVS booth at the Home Entertainment Expo?

I guess this question is directed specifically at Tom and Ron. I was really disappointed that SVS did not have a booth at the show. It was great to meet the guys at Outlaw and discovered that, YES the products they sell are real, you can touch them and they ARE as good as everyone says. It...

Small dent in tweeter. Should I be concerned??

I just picked up some new Tower speakers this weekend and I just discovered that one of them has a tiny dent in the tweeter about the size of a pin. After quite a bit of listening they seem to sound just fine. Does anyone know if something like this could affect sound quality? Trying to avoid...

New Energy Connoiseur Ctr. Channel C-C3

For anyone who cares, I just found out from an Energy rep. that they will be releasing a better, more expensive Center Channel in their Connoisseur line late this year.... "The new C-C3 center channel is slated for production at the end of this year. I would not expect to physically see it...

    Energy Connoiseurs vs. Paradigm Monitors

Has anyone compared Energy's Connoiseur line to Paradigms Monitor Series? I listened to the Monitor 11's the other dau and loved them. But then another dealer who I've done a lot of busines with told me that the new Connoiseurs sound much nicer (he carries Energy and Paradigm). Trying to...

Paradigm Monitor 11's vs. Studio 40/60's

Just got back from my local Paradigm dealer. I had gone over there to audition the Studio ref. 40's and 60's. After listening for a few minutes I thought that they were nice but not $1,200 nice. Just for the heck of it I thought I'd take a listen to the Monitor 11's.....WOW! While I thought that...
