UPDATE. This is why this forum is so valuable. Many thanks to JohnRice.
I pulled the Harmony Elite puck out of the cabinet and placed it on top. Worked!!
People actually KNOW stuff!!
Evidently the puck was just a tad further apart for the Samsung then with the Sony.
All is resolved and...
I would not have thought that would be an issue. The hub and blasters are in the same place as they were with my Sony Bravia XBR-65X850D 4K flat screen. That said, in the morning, I will move the blaster out of the cabinet and place it on top of the entertainment center and see if that helps...
Just finished re-installing all my video gear (all in the cabinet) after getting my new S95B on the wall.
I have a Logitech Harmony Elite (with hub and blasters) that I use, as Blu-Ray, Yamaha receiver and Dishnet boxes are all behind glass.
The S95B is recognized by the Harmony program and...
I had the same problem. I would have audio cut out several times during a movie. It was unpredictable and on different places within the same movie. I did the Sony update and I have not had it happen again. Like you, I was using HDMI and tv speakers. Use this link Sony eSupport -...
In watching Harry Potter on my Panasonic, I have noticed that audio will cut out from time to time. This occurs for sometimes up to a minute and a half. Then it will return to normal. Any suggestions?
I intend to get my Sony 52W4100 calibrated - when I can find a competent specialist in the Portland, Oregon area. In the mean time, is there a decent HD calibration disk I can use? Recommendations??
I searched for an answer, but did not find one for this blu-ray player Panasonic has a firmware update (1.5) for the BD55K. The Owner's Manual talks about hooking the player to your router for automatic updates. It does mention that "If downloading on this unit fails or this unit is not...
I have a rather nice set of cabinets that surround my current RPTV and holds my 2 disk players, satellite receiver and receiver. I am seriously thinking of replacing my Toshiba 57HX81 RPTV in favor of a 52 inch Sony KDL 52W4100 or KDL 52XBR6. I was considering a plasma. My concern was the...
I just bought the DMP-BD55 today. It will be a year or so before I change my TV to a 57" or so flat panel. The DMP-DB55 is also an interim player until Sony, or some other make makes a decent blu-ray carousel. I have the Sony 400 disk DVPCX985V which gets lots of use. In addition, I am...
It's been a long time since I visited on this forum - although I have gotten allot of good information from the folks here. I hope this is the right spot for it. I have had a Toshiba 57HX81 16.9 for some time and I have generally been happy with Dish. Tonight my wife and I decided we would...
Saw one of these units at Video Only today. Screen was impressive at any angle. Has IDSC-Pro (Intelligent Digital Scan conversion) 540p/1080i. It has the quick locate for external hardware such as DVD that I was looking for. Anyone have one of these? Is anyone aware of any problems before...
We watch a lot of DVDs. Very little to none VHS. Main viewing is Dish Network. I may be persuaded to go 16:9 if it is worth it. It seems from your previous post that it is. What did you go with? I want a clear crisp screen with quick ability to change video source.
I think 4:3 HD ready is what I am looking for. I would expect to purchase a HD tuner later when the format is set in stone. $2,500 was the minimum I expected. Probably looking at arount 3 to 3,500. I understand that 16:9 won't be of much use for near future. What do you think?
Hello folks. Been a while since I visited this site. Lost it for a while and changed computers.
Question I have, not being very familiar with all the new gadgets TVs have these days and only have a very, very basic understanding of HDTV.
I have decided it is time to replace my current...
