Best Progressive Scan DVD under $350?

Mike, it may mean your TV's internal line doubler is better than the one that the DVD player uses.

    7.1 Sound--HELP

Make sure the SB channel is turned on. A way of doing this is going into quick setup and selecting "7.1" (or 7.0 if you don't have a sub). VSX-D811S manual

HELP! New Wega video game calibration issue!

You can adjust the horizontal positioning of the NGC's picture by starting the console up without a game, going to options, and then screen position. See if this helps anything.

    Apartment/bedroom treatment

I saw this in a Home Theater magazine earlier this year: You can make your own acoustic panels by wrapping pieces of wood with carpet or similar material. Maybe a real thick blanket would work.

How to reset controller for GameCube?

While this isn't exactly related to the topic at hand, I read somewhere, and can confirm, that if you pull one side of the controller torwards you, and push the other side away from you, the face buttons will really tighten up. Almost like you're twisting it, but make sure you don't twist too...

    GTA3 for PC......IGN Hands-On Update!

It also has support for for playing MP3s from your computer instead of listening to the on-board radio. Let's hope it supports streaming internet radio... that would be the ultimate! Even after playing the PS2 version for well over 250 hours, I'm thinking of picking this up for the PC.

    Question about anamorphic squeeze...

This isn't really related to the subject, but I thank you because I've always wondered how a 27" would fit in that entertainment center (it's the same one I have, mine seen here)

Need help on secondary DVD player. What are people using?

I have the Samsung DVD-N501. It's a real nice player, with MP3, HDCD, VCD, and NUON compatability. I also like the design of the player itself (seen here, although opinions may differ). The remote isn't too bad; it has a joystick for menu control (and speaking of menus, you can change...

Integrating video games into home theater rack?

Don't mind the cheap components... Entertainment Center consoles and games Games moved to: (next hyperlink) games and DVD's I have a few more games, but it's pretty much up to date. To keep it looking decent, I wrap my controllers up and put it in the storage area under the consoles.

"16:9" and "4:3" - Just HOW Do You Say It?!

    I say 16:9 as Sixteen to nine and 4:3 as four-three. 5.1 is five-point-one.
