how much louder is the fan on that amp compared to a normal computer and the projector that are both in the room. The amplifier is probably going to be about 14 feet from the listening area so im taking a guess i wont be able to hear it from that far. Right now i am pushing towards the nady amp...
Alright i am going to be running dual Adire Audio tempests and im looking for a cheap amp. My choices are to run the subs wired together which will give me either a 2ohm load or an 8ohm load. The other choice is to get an amp that will do 250x2 at 4 ohms. I wanna run 250 watts to each sub. So a...
Well since we have that issue solved do you guys have any opinions on box sizes and tuning. I want to go ported and i dont really have any size restrictions but dont want to go huge.
Also how do you guys feel with the tc 3hp driver. The one I was looking at specs are: Re: 6.14 Fs: 24.5 Qms: 5.64 Qes: .362 Qts: .34 Le: 5.56 Sd: 72965 mm^2 Vas: 138 liters BL: 24.35 Mms: 226.56 RMS: 6.2 Sensitivity: 89 dB I forget xmax i think its 27-28mm Do you guys think...
Im not worried about the work, i built a tempest seeing 7.8cubic ft tuned to 15.4hz running off a 250 watt amp in another one of my rooms. I know b route was probably the better route but i was seeing if i could get out the easy way and be satisified which i probably wouldnt with a.
Alright here is my dilemma i have 2 choices to choose from that are about the same price. Choice one is a tc sounds 3hp 15inch sub powered by a bash 300watt amp from parts express. Not sure on box yet but will be ported and probably tuned around 19hz. Or my other choice is 2 infinity ps-12...
It seems like your projector is just like mine where it has hd15 inputs(vga) but it will accept component video through that input. What you need is a hd15 to bnc cable. It converts the hd15 to 5 wires. Red, Blue, Green, Horizontal, Vertical. The dvd player or high defenition box then connects...
i just picked up the 1015tx the other day and its a good receiver for the price. I picked it up for my basement setup which isnt my main setup and im using cheap speakers down there but it works. I still like my yamaha rx-v1400 for my main setup better but im happy.
i just got a 1015tx open box from one call for 350. Not sure if they have any more and the thing looked like a brand new unit. Not one scratch still had new electronics smell. Looked brand new and works great.
i just painted the screen right on the drywall in my basement with behr silverscreen. Then i framed it off. It looks great. I had patched the wall and made sure it was perfectly smooth and sanded before painting and it looks great. When i get time im going to paint the rest of the wall black.
I havent completely read this whole post because its quite long but playstation magazine was where i read ps3 will support sacd. Thats why i dont think sony is going to get rid of sacd anytime soon.
L7s love power trust me. So get as much as you can. Im giving my 12s 700 each and they ask for more. Like i said before they are good for music but not real good for movies.
i have 2 L7 12s in my car and they do get loud but they are not the most accurate. You can make them accurate but it takes some work. I still like them. I have tried an adire audio brahma in my car which is more sq orientated and the L7 actually sounded better in my car. Must be the resonant...
I am using a 30 year old akai receiver to power my tempest sub that i built. Thing runs the sub like a champ. Those receivers were so underrated compared to the receivers today. The receiver has a lot of power. Mine works fine so you shouldnt have any problems. Good Luck.
I have a question when you guys tried different amps out and switched out one amp for another. Did the amps have different power ratings and when you listened to the difference was both the amps at the same exact decibel reading? To a human ear something that is even a little louder than another...
We are not talking about dacs. We are talking about amplifiers. The amplifier itself. Yes dacs are different they will process different but just an amplifier itself will sound the same. You turn off processing and crossovers and all that stuff and just go down to the amp a watt will be a watt...
the test shows that a watt is a watt. They are not saying how much power each amp handles. Well duh a 10 watt amp will struggle when you push the hell out of it. They are saying that a watt from a $10,000 amp is the same watt that is from a $10 amp. As long as either arent pushed they will sound...
Im pretty sure y adapters are wired in parallel. If its in parallel then both will get the same voltage. Voltage doesnt change between things in parallel. But they both will have different currents. In series voltage is different current is the same. Im pretty sure that the y adapter is parallel...
its used to try and get the most direct output from the amplifiers. That includes dsps or effects or displays that could somehow take away power from the amplifiers. They want to give you direct clean sound. By dimming the display you can still read what it says on the display but doesnt take...
Wow jack didnt know there was an ohioan with axioms also. I see your from cleveland. I live in mentor. Nice to know there is another person that has axioms in the area.
