Jerry, Yeah, it did seem a bit screwy having to sign up for a card, but I didn't want to argue since I had read about some stores not allowing the coupons to be used to buy the X1. I'm just going to cancel the card in a few months before I have to pay any interest. :)

I'm sure no matter what I buy, 6 months later I could get something better for less money. There's also always something better for "just a little more" money right now, but you have to draw the line somewhere. It's just the nature of technology. I'm having a lot of fun with my setup right...

He's talking about the Denon 2802. Unfortunately it costs much more than the SR600 -- you can get it online for around $550 but that's from an unauthorized dealer which supposedly voids the warranty. There is a long discussion on this if you look back through this thread.

So has anyone who already bought the 600 gone back to CC and gotten a refund for the amount paid above $399? I'm surprised they would do this kind of price match from any CC. But if they do, maybe I should get a copy of that receipt too, since I paid $430.99.

Rob, Got any pics of your setup? Sounds like a simliar room to mine: 22' by 12' with a couple of "bumpouts" like you mentioned. I'm still setting up my equipment, including my SR600.
