Paul Benedict, 70; Played Neighbor on 'The Jeffersons' - washingtonpost.com This sucks - he was an extremely underrated TV and movie actor, not to mention the Mad Painter of Sesame Street:
The 25 Worst Sitcoms Ever | TV Crunch Although most of these are on target, if they can't find anything worse than Perfect Strangers, Mr. Belvedere, and Mama's Family, they must not have watched very much TV. I would substitute: The War at Home Saved by the Bell Life With Lucy Joey The...
Ann Jillian played the ghost of a dead movie star who haunted the family who moved into her old house, but she only made herself visible to the teenage son, who was going through puberty. It only lasted 13 weeks, because it was part of NBC's infamous fall 1983 lineup that also included "Manimal"...
Ugh. This was terrible, apart from a couple of good lines. Michael Rapaport may be a good film actor, but is woefully miscast as a sitcom lead. And Kyle Sullivan is as annoying as he was on Malcolm in the Middle, maybe more. But if you like racist and homophobic jokes, have at it.
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/0...ion=cnn_latest He was the voice of Piglet, he was Mr. Peterson on the Bob Newhart Show, and he was in 12 Angry Men, among other things. :frowning:
I'll start... BEST 1. 24 2. American Dreams 3. Lost 4. Without a Trace 5. The Bernie Mac Show 6. King of the Hill 7. The Simpsons 8. Everybody Loves Raymond 9. Still Standing 10. Third Watch (A&E reruns) WORST 1. Quintuplets 2. Complete Savages (or any ABC sitcom of your...
Who'd buy it? It ranks as the 23rd most wanted unreleased show at TVShowsOnDVD, and it's always been a solid performer in the ratings. Maybe it will be in the next Warner Bros. batch of announcements.
Labor Day weekend release, no advance screenings, the Fox Swimfan slot - all the signs of a throwaway. I wouldn't pay to see it in a theater, but it looks like it could be a fun mindless rental. 20 years ago this would have been a Cannon Films release; now it is a major studio release -...
James B. gives it quite a spanking: http://movie-reviews.colossus.net/mo...ut_paddle.html This will probably tank like Harold & Kumar did. I have no use for Seth Green or Matthew Lilliard movies, but does this look appealing to anybody?
I've moved my collection to a new site and I'm just curious to see if anybody shares any of my tastes. Bring on the opinions and the criticisms - I can take the heat! :)
My top 10: 1. Boomtown 2. Without a Trace 3. American Dreams 4. Everybody Loves Raymond 5. The Bernie Mac Show 6. Karen Sisco 7. 24 8. King of the Hill 9. 8 Simple Rules 10. Still Standing Honorable mentions: The Simpsons Malcolm in the Middle Scrubs Your choices?
Good show this week, with the return of Rabbi Krustofsky, Krusty trying to convince FOX to air his bar mitzvah ("You guys are known for taking chances on crap!"), and Homer, Moe, Carl, and Barney getting their own mindless TV show - which is a hit, until Lisa suggests they make it meaningful...
A great, long-delayed premiere episode. Hands down, Jeremy Suarez (Jordan) is the best kid actor on TV right now, followed by Dewey from Malcolm in the Middle. Bernie's embarrassment at Jordan's strange hobbies reminds me of Hank and Bobby on King of the Hill. And is Aunt Wanda not the hottest...
Terrible - a typical insipid family sitcom, but with sexual innuendos and a hyperactive laugh track. Even the food fight stunk. Don't quit your day job, Kelly.
This was hyped as being hysterically funny - I must have missed that part. I didn't hate it, it was OK - decent acting, a cute kid, some funny lines, the hot sister from Once and Again. Not bad for a pilot, but overrated. Hopefully it will improve as it goes along.
Great news for fans of this great, short-lived Steven Bochco show from 1997-98: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/releasei...ReleaseID=3097 Lots of good people in this one, including Gary Basaraba of "Boomtown", Richard T. Jones, Jon Tenney, Yancy Butler and Dylan Walsh of "Nip/Tuck". Too bad it...
