Me too! Though after watching tonight, I'm officially tuning out of AI until the auditions are over. The Mariah and Minaj sniping got old the moment it started.
Who was the guy in the car looking at the documents from Clay's safe? Is it a mystery or are we supposed to know already? I'm liking this season so far but I gotta say I have no idea where this Pope character came from aside from his daughter being killed by Tig. Between these two things, I'm a...
Definitely rooting for Christine at this point. I was disappointed to see Frank get sent home instead of Josh. I think throughout the course of the entire season, the judges had him doing better than Josh. As always with these kinds of shows, I always get the feeling the judging is a bit fake.
We haven't watched any of the Olympics and I sure would have liked to have had regular programming....but from what I've read the Olympic ratings have been through the roof so I guess it makes sense not to try and compete with them.
Stan, I had read an interview with her and she said her vision is far less than what qualifies as legally blind. She does an amazing job in my opinion. Not sure if it was mentioned earlier in the thread or not, but the show was picked up for another season.
I think Joe has toned it down a bit himself and is actually nicer this year. Either way, I like him and Graham as judges and Ramsay is my least favorite of the three.
I guess you're right Garrett. I kept away from reading about the show during season one so I never knew or heard about the killer being revealed at the end of the season. I just assumed it would be because it seemed like that's where they were heading. Either way, I'd have been happy about the...
Not happy about this at all as it was one of the few shows I watched and enjoyed. I never understood why people were upset after season one. I was sort of expecting the killer to be revealed then as well, but was wasn't upset when it wasn't. I just figured I'd have another season of good TV to...
Agreed Dave. That kind of ratings manipulation ploy just cheapens an otherwise solid show. I posted somewhere on this thread that Felix wasn't getting much face time on the show...that was probably the first clue this was going to happen.
My thoughts exactly Dave. One serves up something the judges called disgusting, the other something that was called terrible and I believe inedible as well and they stay? I guess Felix wasn't being snarky enough for them to want to keep on the show.
I think they could replace all three of them with a trio of fairly well trained parrots and there would be no drop off whatsoever. Get one to say "yo yo yo he's in it to win it dude", another to say "you gave me goose pimples" and another to say "that was beautiful, just beautiful" and they'd be...
Thanks for the info on Top Chef guys. I'm going to check out Top Chef Masters and see how I like it. I need some TV to watch in the summer and it sounds like I'd enjoy it.
Aaron, sorry about that! I don't know why I did that. On a semi-related note of mistaken identity...If I spend any...
It's a really good place. Funny thing is a few people I know who have gone there don't like all the options with the rolls and fries and soda etc. One of my friends I tool there once said ordering a burger shouldn't be that complicated. It's all individual preference I guess. Now that I see you...
I wouldn't hire them, that's for sure. It's hard to picture any of them head chef at a fancy restaurant.
Adam, I'm sure you're right about the editing aspect but they do seem less competent and pretty much there for the conflict angle.
So, what's Top Chef like? I've never seen that...
I don't think better burgers are a fad at all. I think if the burgers are good, moderately priced and the market isn't over saturated, it can become a sustainable business.
I love a good burger, but don't eat any from fast food places at all. Five Guys, which are really popular here, is...
Definitely glad to see Tali go....really liked that line from Joe about Tali's cooking...this is master chef not masturbate. Dave, you're right about Felix getting that early win, I totally forgot about that.
For those who watched Hell's Kitchen seasons...I swear I watched a few episodes...
I'm watching Dave. I'm almost surprised to say this, but Master Chef has become one of my favorite shows. I like that they keep the personality clashes to a minimum. It's funny that you mentioned the exact 3 people I'd like to see win. I wouldn't mind Frank winning either as he's a local guy...
I like the song too, but I thought all the screaming was just hideous. About halfway into the screaming fest, my wife looked at me and asked what song they were doing because she didn't recognize it anymore.
I liked seeing Phillip perform with Fogerty. Phillip seemed to genuinely enjoy it which is what you'd hope for a musician. I though Aerosmith was good as well. The Johsua/Fantasia performance was an absolute trainwreck. Did anyone here like that?
Lots of good memories attached to the Bee Gees as a young teenager growing up in the disco era. The guys in junior high wanted to beat you up if you liked the Bee Gees and disco, the girls wanted to date you. I chose to like the Bee Gees and disco. Good times, lots of girls and great music. The...
The one credit I'll give Joshua is that he does a good James Brown cover. But who needs James Brown covers when you can listen to the real thing? Aside from that, I got nothing. We muted his songs last night as both my wife and I are sick of his blubbering. I was amused though that he did...
As with the season itself, way way too much Colton in the final hour. They said near the end that next season will feature 3 returning people who were air lifted off the island plus a new group. If Colton is one of those returning, I'm not watching.
I'm sort of looking forward to Kat's jury performance. She's angry as hell and dumber than a doorknob. There's potential for some funny stuff there. Aside from that, I'm rooting for anyone but Alicia.
Hanson, I agree about Jessica. I still contend that aside from Phillip, the rest of them frequently sing too loudly and to the point where it's shrill. I liked Joshua's James Brown cover, but it still was pretty much like every other performance he's given. The only song I liked tonight was...
Yes, she was spunky (not reading anything into that at all!) and a decent stage performer which is more than I can say for Jessica and Hollie. I still like AI, but this year they each seem to sing every song the exact same way so they all come off as one trick ponies to me. On top of that, and...
