I have similar problems with The Seventh Seal. I just find it utterly and completely uninteresting, and hard to follow as well. Can't make it past the 30 min mark.
Although I've seen if for sale at B&M's recently, some online retailers have stopped selling it. The ebay merchants don't seem to mention it being OOP, so you can still get it for cheap if you want.
I've noticed that as well. I don't actually think it's quite 1.85:1 though. I think it's closer to 2:1. You'll notice at beginning and end of the movie the correct 2.35:1 AR is shown, then it cuts to the MAR when the movie actually starts. I remember the WS Star Wars Trilogy VHS tapes were...
For the 10 millionth time, Blockbuster (Corporate owned and non) DOES carry unrated movies. Bad(der) Santa, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Old School, Swimming Pool, Boat Trip, American Pie 2+3, etc.

Oh, good call on Beauty and the Beast (assuming we're talking about the Disney animated version). I remember liking it as a kid, bought the 2-disc SE and immediately Ebay'd it after watching it. By far the worst Disney animated movie ever    HATE that movie!!!

I went to a Saturday night showing at 9:50 and it was only about 30% full. Of course, there were showings every 20 minutes or so, and there was a sign up stating the 9:10 show was sold out, and historically this theater (Regal Oviedo Marketplace) isn't too busy on Saturday nights. So there was...
Corporate owned Blockbuster Video locations do carry exclusively widescreen movies and sometimes unrated versions when available. I know because I work at one. There were 2 periods of time when Blockbuster was "flip-flopping" between widescreen and fullscreen versions. The first was around...
I thought it was OK, but nothing to write home about. I really couldn't get over Val Kilmer's portrayal of John Holmes though. Even physically, he looked nothing like him, and was about 30 lbs too heavy to play the coked-up porno star. Normally that doesn't bother me but it did in Wonderland.
The most important features for me are the House of Blue Leaves scene in color, both volumes edited back together, and comprehensive extras. If I can get all 3 with just one purchase I'll be happy.
Lost in Translation - over the almost equally excellent Shattered Glass Finding Nemo - Mighty Wind gets funnier each time I watch it, but Nemo was brilliant
