All score music from Spidey - even what's not on album...

Not complaining at the existing score cd, but someone sometime soon - Bring on the extended/2cd/academy-promo score album... As far as I can tell, here are all the score cues - with approx. timings - for the music as it appears in the Spider-Man MOVIE. So enthralled with the emotion and...

    ***Official SPIDER-MAN Review Thread***

12 June 2002 A PERFECTLY SPUN CINEMATIC CREATION. A REVIEW OF THE "SPIDER-MAN" MOVIE - by Jonathan Fisher (in the U.K.) Firstly, I'm not a writer, just a moviegoer. But I'm educated enough in movies to know what needs to go into a genre movie to make it work (shame Hollywood doesn't a lot...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Well that surprises me. Thought they were gonna cave in on the matter. Yeah, right. Of course I knew all along - since Feb.21 - that they wouldn't. But that's not the point anyway. The point has always been to let studios like Sony know what we think of them. To not just tell them that...

Scores vs. songs in movies today

Dan: How do you move someone else's thread to another area of HTF? Not objecting though, just curious. Pleased you're interested in movie SCORES as well as movies. Anything on that subject you wanna discuss, let me know. Be good to talk about that subject with you/anyone else. Quietly...

Scores vs. songs in movies today

Actually Dan, now we know that the movie is officially PG-13 in the U.S. (meaning the movie's complete), wonder when the BBFC will be seeing it? I know the movie is 1.85 flat aspect ratio, rather than wider scope, but what I want to know now is what runtime the movie has come in at.

Scores vs. songs in movies today

Wow! You know people who were there when the music was recorded?! You sure have some contacts in the movie world, don't you. Great if a score cd is on the way, but when damn it. Not after summer/after the movie's release please. If you're sure there will be an album, what was said between...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

So that's it then. Debate dead. No replies in a while. Anyone who took an interest is now wholly indifferent. I'm not sure who's more pathetic (in the UK). Me for thinking I could do some good by my article, or all others for their attitude towards this subject. Gotta go. Sony just...

Scores vs. songs in movies today

Here's an article on, well, just what the subject says. Any info./thoughts appreciated. Thanks for taking a look. 18 Mar. MUSIC SCORES VS. SONGS IN MOVIES I've recently read some info. that probably Sony are gonna do another Danny Elfman-wait on us - ilke with MIB in '97. Or worse...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Dan Brecher, I sent you the Spidey article the other day, as you asked. Did you get it? Reason I ask is because I've just got an AOL email telling me that yours wasn't received - ' permanent fatal error at that address ' or something (I often seem to get that when I send emails out, which is...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Sorry Jacob, if I was being hostile again. Now I know it was just the studio's opinion of 'article too long', not yours. Thanks. I also now know, then, that it's a COMMITEEE of a******s at Sony who are dumping on UK fans and ignoring/trivialising our emails, rather than just ONE a******...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Like I said Jacob, I will try doing/sending an edited+less whiney version sometime soon. But it's very hard to include all the relevant points/be objective and not express any personal feelings - in just one page. I suppose I could get around that by sending the whole existing article as email...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Hell, I have gotta get my sleep earlier than this in future. After this... Dan, the added email I sent right back to Stuart at CTUK, WASN'T really a 'complaint'. I just used that word on my last post because it's been on my mind so much lately, re. the date change issue. I was actually...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

I've already given in (see previous posts), but just to keep the dying embers of the debate glowing a little longer... Good news and bad news, (Dan, Paul, Jacob, et al)... I got a reply from a Stuart Williams, Marketing Director of CTUK yesterday, re. my article and the date change!!! Holy...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Dan, you seem to have only read the first half of my cuurent reply. Take a look. The 2nd half is done. Any more comments? Just on your 1st-half comments, once again, you make more sense than I ever seemed to. Glad we're all friends again here now (!). Wasn't sure for a while there...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Dan thanks for those last comments. I have some comeback*, but without much weight. No sarcasm at all intended - I am genuine in my retractions here... Sorry for not seeing the obvious re. 'the box-office takings/avoid AOTC's hype' reasons. I'm humbled before the whole forum. You don't...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Thanks to Paul for his critique on my article. It's too damn late to go into anything more on it now (I'm really tired, people) so I'll be back Thursday evening (UK time) with some news on my trying to get an answer from Sony, and those views of mine on Paul's criticism, as well as the opinions...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

To appease those who discussed the censor issue...even though still sidetracking...some of Dan's points provoked my interest... Firstly though Dan...I never said the UK May 10 date was SET since Jul.2001. But that info. was advertised/leaked, without any denial from Sony. E.g. UK's "Empire"...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

To Steve - 'thanks' for your sarcasm, which helps the issue a lot! To Jacob - thanks (genuinely) for your support. To MickeS - you try waiting 42 more days for something that 'you can't wait for' too. If you read my article you'd understand. My 11-year-old nephew was inconsolable when I...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Everyone's still getting sidetracked - commenting on other subjects in this thread, instead of reasoning why Spidey's been moved in the UK, or trying to get an answer/compensation from Sony about this. Indifference is rife. Thanks. I don't care half as much what other films are coming out...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

How did a thread about THE DELAYED RELEASE DATE IN THE UK become solely a discussion on 'UK censor problems'?! Why the indifference? Don't you care about the delayed release at all?! The 'likely cut version' sentence I put in was just a throwaway addition, it wasn't meant to take over the...

Sony spineless for changing UK release date

Does anyone care about the Spider-Man movie being put back 6 weeks here in the UK? Thought not. Or that's how it seems. I've been sending an ultimate complaint article to anyone who might be able to influence a change or extract an honest, non-patronising answer from Sony, on the subject of...
