The hd pack does not have an s video connection. Fof S video and 5.1 you need the advanced av pack, not the hd pack.

It will auto detect on interlaced signals only. If you have a progressive scan player you have to manually select 16X9 enhanced.

If the set you get has this problem it probably will affect subtitles. Like I said though it is easily fixable and shouldn't be of much concern. You won't be dissapointed with this set.

I would turn it off. Sounds like SVM to me. Anything that artifically sharpens the original image is bad news in my opinion.

I think you mean that analog tvs will be obsolite in about 3 years. Hdtv monitors are not going to be obsolite.

I use the warm setting on my 36hs20 but I also adjusted the red push in the service menu. At first it took a little getting used to but now if I switch to neutral or cool it is way too blue. Try each for a week or so and see what you like best.

Woops, my above post should read 1100Mhz or 1.1Ghz not 110Mhz. A 1.1Ghz chip is nice for gaming. As far as the 110Ghz being in the PS3, if it is I'll buy one and eat it. And Camp even with my typo I don't see that as being contradictory at all.

If your set is hd ready it has to accept a 1080i or 720p signal. The hd format is 1080i or 720p not 480p, although most sets display only 1080i natively. No game as of right now supports any resolution above 480p though, so switching on 1080i in the dash will have no effect.
