The 3800 is having severe lock-up problems. I am also very interested in this player but on the AVS forum approx 90% of the owners reporting in have returned the player due to lock-up issues. Thought you should know. Mark

I have to say I thought the 47a's build quality was no where NEAR typical Elite products and am still trying to figure out how it got an Elite badge. This unit had the build quality and look of a $150 player in my opinion. I returned my unit because it was buggy.

I have a 61" Hitachi Super Ultravision and have the same problem. When I contacted Hitachi they said since the prtective screen is so thin that in bright light I would notice this. But since I have a dedicated room it doesn't affect me too often.
