take the sony 50 watt back and buy the sawm-40 . this is aan awesome sub for the price. its only $189 at best buy. by the time you buy another 50 watt and the hardware to hook it up you will spend more money than the 100watt sub.

i wouldn't use anything on the components themselves other than vacuuming them of. i have a small dustbuster that i use for the components and the tv screen i use windex. you could use pledge on the cabinet itself but make sure not to get it on the components.

go with the Bose 301's . had them a year now and they are awsome. i listen to a lot of classical and they sound great. don't listen to what people say on here about Bose. the 301's have great imaging and fill the whole room with sound. you can get them for $300 at the Bose stores.

i purchased the sony strde-575 about 8 months ago. it is an excellent reciever. 100 watts by 5. plenty enough power for my 12x19 living room. can't turn it up all the way or the neighbors in the house next door complain. plenty enough power for music and movies
