Here are some that I have been playing through Xbox System Link. Non Live Games: Halo Nascar Heat 2002 Moto GP Serious Sam Time Splitters 2 Live Games: Ghost Recon Mech Assualt Midnight Club Racing 2 Midtown Madness 3 Return To Castle Wolfenstein -Chris Xbox Gamertag: Hick98
Carlos, Midtown only supports 1 player per xbox for system link. So if you want 8 players you will need 8 Xbox Systems. I have a link setup with 2 systems and was disappointed that I could not have more than 2 players. Midnight Club 2 is the same way through System Link. -Chris...
Here are my favorites from my collection. In no order 1) Alison Krauss - Now That I've Found You (A Collection) You pretty much can't go wrong with any of hers. 2) Jacintha - Here's To Ben I like all of Jacintha's sacds but this one is my favorite. (Thanks for the recommendation...
Is anyone using the HD600 with 555ES SACD combination? I was thinking of getting a good pair of headphones for the times I can not turn up the music. Also do you need to buy a Headphone amp with this or can the 555ES power them just fine? Thanks -Chris
I just recieved my copy last night. I was also floored at the quality of it.
The only thing I didn't really care for was Alison does not sing on all the tracks. The other tracks were not bad, I just wanted to here more of Alison's voice.:D
I should have my copy in a couple of days. I ordered it directly from Rounder. It is not on there website. This is the reply I got back when I emailed Rounder. Alison Krauss + Union Station - New Favorite SACD This is available but you cannot order from the website. You need to call...
Lee, Thanks for the info. Looks like I will be buying them. Will be interesting since it is new material for me. I'm not a jazz fan but want to give it a try and figured this would be a tiny step in the door. Thanks -Chris
I really like both the Alison Krauss SACDs that I have because Alisons voice just sounds so stunning to me. So I want to try to find other titles with good female vocals. I was thinking about the titles below and wanted to find out what people had to say about them since musically they are...
Seth,
I own the CD that you are talking about. The copy that I have is an import from Germany and the front and back covers are yello. Sorry to say but I believe the CD has been out of print for awhile. You might be able to find it used somewhere.
The tracks are the same as in Gregs post...
Joe & Jeff,
The Cds that I was comparing were the remastered versions (I believe 1999 or 2000). I do not know if that makes a difference. Don't get me wrong the SACDs do sound better to me, just not that much of difference compared to the others that I tested. Never really listened to music...
Doug,
I was using the Optical on the Playstation 2 and using the Stereo Analog on the 555ES. I do not have the 5.1 hooked up yet because I need to buy cables.
-Chris
Let me start off by saying I mostly listen to music as background music. I've never been that critical about music. Until now :D
Purchasing: Got the player from Oade Bros. and was very please with them. I got the player without any problems and the packaging was good.
Quality: Seems very...
Robert,
I think you got a very good deal on the 555ES. I took the plunge this morning and bought the player from Oade Bros for $600. When I read your post about the $499.00 price I called J&R Music world and was quoted the $600 price.
KeithH,
Thank You for the suggestion on the Sony...
I'm new to the hobby and was wondering if someone here could lend me a bit of advice about CD Players.
With the current setup I have (Onkyo Model DXc201 - purchased 1991), my local HT Dealers are saying that a good CD Player will make a big improvement. They are suggesting Linn, Rotel or...
