There are some great prices on refurbs of the Toshiba RPCRT models I'm looking at on Ebay. I'm wondering if its worth the potential hassle of buying through them. Has anyone here had much success with a similar purchase?
The worst part about the latest lockout for me is the knowledge that I will no longer have a "local" team when all is said and done. Its a bit of a hike for me, but my brother and I managed to see several Panthers games every season since their inception. The Lightning may take longer to crumble...
Gamertag: vwman18 Halo2 PGR2 Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow Crimson Skies RS6 3 NFL 2K5 NHL 2K4 And I'm terrible at just about all of 'em. :D Now for my next question. Where do you guys get the customized gamertag images for your signatures?
Thanks for the replies. I think I'm going to go with the Toshiba. I downloaded the manual for the 65NH84 and noticed there isn't any mention of the 540p upconversion that I know if a feature w/ the regular H84 series sets. Is this mentioned in the normal sets' manuals?
Well, I thought I had my RPTV decision settled on the Toshiba 65H84, but I saw a sale flyer today with these 2 tvs on sale for about 300-400 less than the 65H84. I know the Mits is an older model, now discontinued but I can't find much info on the Toshiba NH84 model. Any experience with either...
Hi all. I'm finally able to take the plunge and get a RPTV. What I need to do is find something to hold my components. Currently I have your basic entertainment center holding my 32" tv and the components. I was thinking of either building a simple rack or maybe buying something. I have a DVD...
I tried the Blockbuster deal, the flunky behind the counter wouldn't give me the full discount. Finding Nemo is priced at $22.97, and with his explanation, would only come down to the advertised $12.97 if I traded in a month old dvd (worth, to them, $10). I tried to trade in my old copy of The...
Was there a reason why there won't be a 3rd season? I thought the show had done well in the rating the previous 2 years? Too bad, its a really good show. Watching some of the new guys make the team, it gave me something extra to look for on Sundays.
Do you have cable or satellite? If satellite, PIP won't do you any good, regardless of Tivo. You'd need a separate reciever to tune a different channel on the PIP window. If you're using a DirecTivo, you can get them w/ 2 tuners, but they only give you one output so you still can't split it...
Hello all,
This is my first post, though I've been lurking for a few months. I've had my home theater for just over a year. Its a really modest setup, headed by a Pioneer VSX-D509s reciever. My question is, why the S-video connections in the back? I have a DirecTivo and DVD player both...
